The invention relates to a collapsible tube that is made from synthetic resins.

Jedoch kann, während der Tuoenkörper seine ursprüngliche Form wiederNowadays there are various squeezable tubes for toothpaste, medicinal paste, pasty foods and the like are available. Until now, these tubes were mostly made of metal such as Made of aluminum and had the disadvantage that 'their tube body was in an' unsightly condition after it had been compressed, remained without returning to its original shape. Recently Compressible tubes made of synthetic resins are now in common use, which not only has the disadvantage of the long-known Metalltuoen on the side, but also a number of advantages such as lower manufacturing costs and increased profitability with it urge. These Tuoen are made of synthetic resins that are sufficient are elastic so that the door body can return to its original shape after it has been compressed. However can, while the body of the douche returns to its original shape

Außerdem kann aufgrund der gewöhnlich hohen Durchlässigkeit des Kunstharzes für gasförmigen Sauerstoff, Wasserdampf und Duftwirkstoffe sowie aufgrund einer geringen Beständigkeit gegenüber Öl der Inhalt einer solchen Tube in unerwünschter Weise physikalisch oder chemisch beeinflußt werden.occupies, air will enter the tube body, which will contain both the contents The tube will oxidize as well as splashing of the contents if the tube is squeezed quickly as the contents is pushed out along with the air. In addition, due to the usually high permeability of the synthetic resin for gaseous Oxygen, water vapor and fragrances as well as the contents of such a tube due to a low resistance to oil be influenced physically or chemically in an undesirable manner.

The aim of the invention is to provide an improved collapsible tube of double-walled construction, in which the inner tube is very oil and water resistant and extremely low permeability for gaseous Oxygen, water vapor and fragrance ingredients have and with which the outer tube is designed to receive the inner tube in a protective manner and is sufficiently elastic so that the outer tube is in its return to its original shape after being compressed.

In addition, the inner tube of such an improved, compressible Tube be made from a sheet consisting of a layer of polyvinyl alcohol and two layers of polyethylene, of each of which is applied to one of the two surfaces of the polyvinyl alcohol layer.

This keeps the inner tuoe in a cylindrical shape be produced that the sheet is bent over, with its lateral ends being brought into an overlapping position, and that at the same time, a molten water-resistant synthetic resin material on which one end face of the sheet is applied to prevent the polyvinyl alcohol intermediate layer from being exposed to the interior of the inner tube.

This goal is oei a compressible tube with a tube body with a tube neck and one detachable on the neck of the tube attached closure part according to the invention achieved in that the Tuoe has a double-walled structure, where Dei the Tubenkör-

Fig. 7 einen Schnitt längs der Linie VII-VII nach Fig. 6 in vergrößertem Maßstab.7 shows a section along the line VII-VII according to FIG. 6 on an enlarged scale.

As Fig. 1 shows, the tube body 2, which he invention according to formed tube 1 comprises a tubular portion 4, a tube neck 7 (see Fig. 2), on which a cap 3 is detachably placed, and a shoulder 8, which is between the tubular section 4 and the tube neck 7 is located. The tubular portion 4, as best seen in FIGS. 2A and 2B, has a double-walled structure comprising an inner tube 5 and an outer tube 6. The inner tube 5 and the outer tube 6 are tightly connected or welded at their upper end on the circumference to the lower end of the shoulder-shaped section 8, which is preferably manufactured with the tube neck 7 as a single part. The lower ends of the inner tube 5 and the outer tube 6 are tightly connected to one another in the manner shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, but can also be welded to the edge of a suitable base part (not shown).

The outer tube 6 is made of a material such as polyethylene, polypropylene or the like which has sufficient elasticity, so that the outer T \ ibe regain their original shape can annenmen, after it has been compressed. As FIGS. 2A and 2B show, there is an opening 10 in the outer sleeve 6 adjacent to the shoulder 8, which for reasons which will be explained later, a connection

Like Pig. 3 shows, the inner tube 5 is given a generally cylindrical shape by bending a sheet 11 made up of layers t and bringing its side edges 12 into an overlapping position. So that the inner tube 5 is flexible and yet does not return to its original shape after it has been compressed, the sheet 11 has a sufficiently small overall thickness and in a preferred embodiment (shown in FIG. 4A) comprises a polyvinyl alcohol layer 13 and two Polyethylene layers 14 applied to their surfaces »In a further embodiment (shown in FIG. 4B). Instead of the polyvinyl alcohol layer 13, an aluminum foil 15 has been used.

It is known that a polyvinyl alcohol layer is extremely thin Permeability for gaseous oxygen and fragrance ingredients and is also very oil-resistant. However, since the material is water-soluble is, the polyvinyl alcohol layer 13 is provided on both of its surfaces with a polyethylene layer 14 which is very water resistant.

Since, as can be seen from the description made with reference to FIGS Can return shape, the tubular portion 4 changes from the state shown in Fig. 2A to the 'shown in Fig. 2B when the contents of the tube is pushed out. The inner tube 5 remains in which it is exerted in state of Fig. 2B to further pressure on the tube body 2 0 Y / hen the pressure that has built up in the tube body 2, falls, the outer tube 6 returns by itself to its original shape, and at the same time air enters the space formed between the inner tube 5 and the outer tube 6 through the opening 10. As Fig. 2Ji shows, the tube, even after it has been

Since no air enters the inner tube 5 via the outlet opening in the tube neck 7, the contents will splash the tube 5 prevented at rapid compression of the tube body 2 also arises in the between the inner tube 5 and the outer tube 6 located space no vacuum, since the opening 10 is provided. Another advantage that the invention has brings, is that due to the polyvinyl alcohol layer, the tube contents lose little or practically no scent at all and is oxidized and also protected from drying out due to the application of the polyethylene layers 14 to the layer 13.

Anhand der Fig. 5 bis 7 wird im folgenden näher beschrieben, auf welche Art die seitlichen Enden 12 des Blattes 11 befestigt werden, um die zylindrische innere Tube 5 auszubilden.5 to 7 will be described in more detail below on which way the lateral ends 12 of the blade 11 are attached to form the cylindrical inner tube 5.

According to Pig. 5A overlapping page ends 12 of the sheet 11 are bonded together or by electrical heating or any other suitable method been merged. On the inner end surface 16a of the sheet 11 a small amount of a suitable water-resistant material 17, such as polyethylene, has been applied in a molten state, to prevent the end of the water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol layer 13 from being exposed to the contents of the inner tube 5. If desired, such a water-resistant material 17 can also be applied to the outer end surface 16b of the sheet 11, as shown in Fig. 5B.

See rod 21 a U-shaped guide part 22 is arranged, which, in cooperation with the cylindrical rod 21, deforms the sheet 11 into a groove o In the vicinity of the U-shaped guide part 22, a nozzle 23 is arranged in the feed direction of the sheet 11 which the water-resistant material 17, which is kept in the molten state, leaks. Like Fig. " 7 shows, the nozzle 25 is positioned so that its orifice is at a location immediately above the one end surface 16 of the gutter-shaped blade 11 for applying the material 17 to it. If desired, the can 23 can be moved by means of a device operating in the horizontal direction into a position in which the material 17 can be applied to the other end surface 16 of the sheet 11, as indicated by the dash-dotted lines in FIG is shown.

Downstream of the nozzle 23 is an electrical heater 24 to heat the overlapping portions 12 of the sheet 11 to fuse them. The tubular body produced in this way is printed at its overlapping portions 12 by a roller 25 and then cooled by a cooling roller 26. The tubular body is also guided between a pair of transport rollers 27, by means of which its speed through the device 20 is regulated. The tubular body, which is not shown here, is then cut into sections of selected length by means of a suitable device.
