Potato harvester with conical cleaning sieve.

The invention relates to a potato harvester in which the potatoes are conveyed by a laterally arranged ploughshare into a rotating sieve in which they are cleaned of the adhering earth masses. The fruits are then transported by an elevator into boxes, sacks or any other container.

Compared to known harvesting machines of this type, the machine has the advantage that the potatoes are cleaned more thoroughly. This is achieved in that the conical sieve is shaken during the rotation, whereby the soil masses are loosened and separated from the fruits as a result of the friction between the fruits.

The machine is shown on the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a side view of the potato harvester, while Fig. 2 shows a front view and Fig. 5 shows a plan view of the machine.

U-shaped channel that is used to convey the sieve b. The sieve b is either set in rotation by the rear wheel axle by means of Kegplräder j and shaft 9, or it is arranged so that it runs with its edge on the ground and is thereby set in motion. The object of the invention is that a ring h on the lower edge of the screen

Since, according to the invention, the sieve b is movably mounted in the longitudinal direction on its axis k, the ring h will slide over the cam i when the sieve is rotated, causing the sieve to vibrate. During the rotation, the strips 1 arranged radially in the sieve b take with them the earth fruits lifted by the plow and transported into the sieve. while the earth is separated from the fruit by the vibrations and falls through the sieve to the ground. After half a turn of the sieve, the fruits roll towards the center of the sieve wall due to the inclination of the sieve. where they
