The invention relates to a warning light for the alternate emission of yellow flashing light and white continuous light.
Such lights are known; For example, with a cylindrical pot-shaped lamp body that holds a large battery and can be set up on the floor, with a dome-shaped yellow light emitting cap for flashing light on the top of the lamp body and a gimbal-mounted hemispherical headlight for permanent white light on the side of the lamp body. The on and off switch is a linear switch with a common off position in the middle of the switching path, whereby the flashing light can be switched on on one side and the continuous light on the other side. As is well known, the simultaneous emission of flashing and steady light is not permitted for lamps of this type.
This lamp requires two lamps and is susceptible to damage, since the feed cable for the continuous light headlight must be led out of the lamp body, exposed and can even be turned off due to improper handling.
It was the task of creating a warning light that manages with a lamp, is compact when not in use, but nevertheless allows light to be emitted at a greater distance from the installation surface than in the prior art; in other words with increased usability in operation with practically unchanged stability.
To achieve these tasks, the warning light according to the invention is primarily characterized in that the light is designed as a foldable light that can be locked in the open position, the batteries or the accumulator in the base part and the lamp with the switching unit in the fold-out part being arranged in a sealed manner.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A flap facing the installation surface for access to the batteries or the accumulator is preferably provided in the base part of the warning light.
The bottom part expediently has a recess for receiving the switching unit when the lamp is closed.
A hinged yellow cover for the light exit surface is preferably provided on the hinged part, a permanent magnet being held in the cover which, when the light exit surface is covered, has the switching tongue of one in the switch part
EMI2.1
A non-positive locking between the base part and the opening part is advantageous, both when the lamp is closed and when it is open.
This non-positive locking is preferably provided in the form of projections on the side wall of the opening part which overlaps the bottom part in the swivel axis area and is self-resilient in this area, and of corresponding recesses in the bottom part.
The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings, in which Fig. 1 is a plan view, Fig. 2 is a side view, Fig. 3 is a bottom view, Fig. 4 is a bottom view with the bottom cover open, Fig. 5 is a partial view of the 1, FIG. 6 is a sectional view in the plane V) -V) in the direction of the arrow B in FIG. 1, and FIGS. 7 and 8 are sectional views in the planes VII-VII and VIII- VIII in the direction of arrow C in FIG. 1 with respect to a warning light according to the invention, the warning light being shown with the exception of FIG. 5 in the closed state. FIG. 9 shows a side view corresponding to FIG. 2 of an embodiment modified with respect to the standing area.
The warning light has a base part 1 and a folding part 2, which are essentially plate-shaped and can be pivoted about the axis 3 against one another by 90 into the opening position. For this purpose, a resilient disc section 4 formed integrally with the opening part 2 overlaps one piece
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
with the bottom part 1 formed cylinder socket 5 and on the disc section 4 and bottom part 1, not shown locking elements (corresponding projections and recesses) are formed in order to positively lock the bottom part 1 and opening part 2 in the closed and opened position, i.e. H.

outside back and allows pivoting.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, a colorless light exit plate 6 and a yellow light filter plate 7, which can be pushed over if necessary, can also be seen on the opening part 2, which can also be non-positively locked in its respective end positions with respect to the opening part 2.
The bottom part 1 has. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, soft, non-slip set-up knobs 8 on the base, two of which are on the base part 1 and two

are arranged, which is locked adjacent to the arranged on the bottom part 1 knobs with the bottom part 1 at 10 openable.
In Fig. 4 it can be seen that the base part 1 has space for receiving five batteries, the pressure springs 11 for the batteries and the respective current-axis-side current conductors 12 and 13 being shown. In area 14, the wall 15 of the base part 1 opposite the base cover is flat, since when the light is closed, there must be space for the switching unit of the light so that no further battery can be accommodated, see also FIGS. 6 and 7.
EMI3.3
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The switching unit 16 can be seen more clearly from FIG. 6. It contains the
EMI4.1
Corresponding wiring and an annular seal 21 for the light exit plate 6 and holding members 22, via which the light exit plate 6 can be non-positively locked to the switching unit 16.
The switching unit 16 is glued to the inner wall of the opening part 2 or in one piece; the light exit plate 6 is inserted from the outside.
7 shows that a permanent magnet 23 is inserted into the side wall of the light filter plate 7 and, in the end position of the light filter plate 7 above the light exit plate 6, inductively actuates the tongue relay 20 of the switching unit 16 in such a way that the lamp 18 is switched to intermittently . In other words, the lamp can only flash yellow and only emit white continuous light, depending on the position of the light filter plate 7.
It can also be seen from FIGS. 7 and 8 that an annular seal 24 is arranged between the base cover 9 and base part 1.
FIG. 9 shows a side view corresponding to FIG. 2 of a modified embodiment with increased stability. In this case, all of the set-up knobs 8 are arranged on the base part 1 and the base part 1 is extended beyond the pivot axis 3, so that the projection of the pivot axis 3 onto the base area lies within the range defined by the four set-up knobs 8.
The invention is based on the embodiment shown with the lamp closed

For applications in the hazardous goods area, the luminaire is equipped with a yellow light exit plate and only for flashing light, as shown in FIG. 9. The sliding light filter plate is of course no longer required.
The lamp according to the invention is manufactured as far as possible from plastic, with ABS being particularly suitable for all non-translucent parts because of its price, its impact resistance, shape retention and colorability.
