Ausserdem

The invention relates to a squeegee device with a squeegee roller for applying a liquid or viscous mass to a surface to be treated, in particular for stencil printing, with a guide wall arranged in front of the area of the squeegee roller moving in the direction of the surface to be treated, the concave side of which is the Squeegee roller is facing.
With the help of the previously known doctor blade devices, it is not possible to apply larger amounts of liquid or
EMI1.1
The lack is that the pressure build-up in the mass to be applied under a coating or roller squeegee in the wedge gap between the squeegee roller and the surface to be treated or stencil is too low to ensure a stronger application or a stronger penetration of the goods .
Squeegee devices have been proposed in which the squeegee roller is arranged in a guide that largely encompasses it in the circumferential direction. Although this measure enables the doctor roller to be properly supported, especially in connection with a magnetic pressing device, it is not possible to increase the amount of dye or the like to be supplied.
The object of the invention is to remedy this deficiency and to create a squeegee device with a rotating squeegee roller, by means of which the mass to be applied is brought onto the surface to be treated in greater quantities than was the case with the previously known squeegee devices. especially if the item to be treated is a textile item - a stronger penetration of the item with the mass to be applied, e.g. B. dye is guaranteed, and with which, in addition, in high-speed machines, especially in printing machines with a printing speed of over 100 m / min, a calming of the flow in the liquid or viscous mass to be applied can be achieved.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the lower edge of the guide wall protrudes into the gap filled with the liquid or viscous mass under the squeegee roller, in which the pressure build-up between squeegee roller and printing stencil takes place, and thus forms at least one gap through which the liquid or viscous mass is fed to the surface to be treated in the area under the doctor roller.
Through the measure according to the invention, the wedge gap between the squeegee roller and the surface to be treated or stencil, which is used to build up pressure, is lengthened by the gap formed with the help of the guide wall and a higher pressure can build up in the liquid or viscous mass to be applied, so that the inventive Squeegee device a larger mass can be applied to the item to be treated or introduced into it. In the case of doctor blade devices in high-speed machines (for example high-speed rotary stencil printing machines), the gap also prevents harmful turbulence in the mass to be applied.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings through exemplary embodiments, without being restricted thereto. Fig. 1 shows in vertical section and Fig. 2 in section according to 11-11 of Fig. 1, a printing station of a rotary stencil printing machine. 3 is an enlarged vertical sectional view of the doctor device belonging to FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 4 shows a plan view and FIG. 5 shows a detail variant of the front end region of the doctor device in section V-V of FIG. 4. FIG. 6 shows a plan view and FIG. 7 shows a section according to VII-VII of FIG. 6, another detailed variant of the front end region of the doctor device.
FIGS. 8 to 10 show further exemplary embodiments of doctor blade devices according to the invention, each in vertical section.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3 shows a doctor blade device for a rotary stencil printing machine. In the round stencil --1--, which is rotatably mounted with its end pieces --2-- in stencil bearings -3-- which are connected to the machine frame --4--, there is a squeegee roller --5- -. The squeegee roller - 5 - consists of magnetizable material and is attracted by a magnetic body connected to the printing substrate - 6 - consisting of a number of vertically arranged magnetic cores - 7 - and coils - 8 - surrounding them.
Between the round stencil - 1 - and the printing base - 6 - the web of material to be printed - 9 - is moved through with the help of a rotating printing blanket - 10. While the web of material --9-- and the blanket --10-- move in the direction of the arrow --11--, the round stencil rotates - l - in the direction of the arrow - 12 - and the squeegee roller --5 - rolls on the inner wall of the template in the direction of the arrow

In front of the squeegee roller - 5--, i.e. H. In front of the area of the squeegee roller - 5-- moving in the direction of the round stencil - 1 -, a guide wall - 16 - is arranged, which extends parallel to the axis of the squeegee roller --5-- over the entire working width of the squeegee device extends.
The guide wall --16 - is attached to the paint tube - 14 - with the help of arms - 17 -. The guide wall 16 - has a "wing profile", the concave side of which faces the squeegee roller - 5 - and whose pointed edge lies in the gap between the squeegee roller --5-- and the round stencil --1--. Between the guide wall - 16 - and the squeegee roller

--5-- a downward narrowing gap - 18 - is formed through which the printing ink flows to the area - under the squeegee roller --5--. Another gap - 20--, through which the paint flows into area --19--, is formed between the guide wall --16-- and the round template --1--.
While with known doctor devices, the pressure build-up in the paint, which is decisive for the amount of paint conveyed through the screen openings of the round stencil, is approximately in

must be set according to the required pressure and penetration conditions.
In the simple embodiment according to FIG. 2, the gap 18 formed between the doctor roller - 5 - and the guide wall 16 - is open at the two longitudinal ends, so that a certain pressure drop could occur there.
This can be effectively prevented with the aid of a doctor roller, the end regions of which are formed according to FIGS. 4 and 5 or according to FIGS. 6 and 7. According to FIGS. 4 and 5, an elastic, porous ring --23-- is arranged on an end pin --22-- of the doctor roller --5--, e.g. glued. The ring --23-- rests against the end face - 24 - of the guide wall - 16 - and thus seals the gap --18-- on the front side. In the contact zone between the ring --23 - and the round template --1--, the ring - 23 - is compressed, as can be seen in Fig. 5.
The ring --23-- also seals against the round template-l-. The same function as the ring -23- have the sealing-lip rings -25- according to FIGS. 6 and 7, which are arranged on the end-face pin -22- of the doctor roller -5. The gap --18-- is sealed on the front side by the sealing lip rings - 25-, one of which rests against the face of the guide wall - 16.

Further exemplary embodiments of the doctor blade devices according to the invention are shown in FIGS. 8 to 10, which here too (as in FIGS. 1 to 3) are doctor blade devices which are arranged in round stencils - 1 - of rotary stencil printing machines.
According to Fig. 8, the squeegee roller --5-- is arranged in a squeegee box, one wall - 28-- of which merges at the bottom into a guide wall - 16 - between which and the squeegee roller - 5 - a gap-- 18--

Paint supply - 15 '-, - 30-- is attached to the guide wall --16--. As a result, in contrast to FIGS. 1 to 3, only one gap -18- is present. The wall - 31 - of the squeegee box carries a slidable coating - 32 - at the bottom, on which the squeegee roller - 5 - is supported in a sealing manner. The squeegee box, which in addition to the 5-parallel walls 28 and 31 to the axis of the squeegee roller, also has front walls, is suspended from the paint tube -14- by means of holders -33-.
If the squeegee box is raised in the direction of the arrow - 34 -, the

--5-- and the gap --18-- is closed.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 9, the doctor roller --5-- is also located in a doctor box. The guide wall --16-- forming the pressure build-up gap --18-- extends in this case practically over half the circumference of the doctor roller - 15--. The pressure build-up gap - 18 - is therefore longer than in the previous exemplary embodiments.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 10, a squeegee roller - 5 - is again arranged in a squeegee box and a pressure build-up gap - 18 - is formed between the squeegee roller - 5 - and the guide wall - 16. Moreover

Squeegee devices according to the invention in general and the exemplary embodiments shown in particular are not restricted to use in round stencils of rotary stencil printing machines.
For example, doctor blade devices of this type can also be used with flat stencils or even when applying a liquid or viscous mass without a stencil.
