Blow head for inflating pre-pressed hollow glass bodies.

Blowing devices are known which serve to inflate pre-pressed glass bodies and have a blow head with a cover to be placed on the mold and a nozzle reaching into the mold. With these blow heads, channels for the passage of the compressed air from the blow head into the interior of the glass body to be inflated were provided, which were often much narrower than the compressed air supply line and always directed downwards or to the side, so that the compressed air emerged in sharp jets and the wall of the still soft bucket. As a result, bubbles formed in the glass wall in the direction of the jet of the blow channels.

According to the invention is now. to prevent this evil, the measure
 EMI1.1
is broken, and thus enters the glass hollow body without impact. This is expediently done by arranging an annular chamber around the nozzle opening, which is only open at the top, opposite the cover, and which at the top offers the pressure shift flow an undivided outlet of large cross-section that does not cause radiation to form.

In bottle blowing machines, blow heads with nozzles that follow the compressed air flow have already been used

For the sake of clarity in the drawing, the blow head is not just for itself,

For general understanding, it should be noted that the hollow body b, in which the compressed air initially enters through the hose c, is adjustably seated on the stand a. With the hollow body, the tube d is articulated and connected with a corresponding seal, which ends in a handle f. In the pipe a valve housing is attached, on which the blow head g is located below. By pressing down the handle f, the sealing
 EMI1.4
is broken at the lid and enters the glass body without impact.
