Zur Verwendung an unzugänglichen Brandstellen dienliche Handfeuerlöscher.
Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf die bekannten Handfeuerlöscher, bei denen der FUllungsinha1t eines Behälters, wofern sich durch Säureeinwirkung ein Gasdruck in demselben erzeugt, durch eine Düse ausgespritzt wird. Die feste und mit schräger Bohrung versehene Spritzdüse am bekannten MinimaxFeuerlöscher hat sich für die gewöhnlich vorkommenden Fälle, wo der Strahl der austretenden Löschflüssigkeit aus der Entfernung auf den brennenden Gegenstand zu richten ist, bewährt. Es kommen indessen Gelegenheiten vor, wo es erwünscht ist, den Strahl hinter Verschaiungen, Wandverkleidungen, unter Schränken und Betten usw., auf ermittelte oder vermutete, mehr oder weniger versteckt gelegene Brandstellen lenken zu können.
Hiefür ist nun die vorliegende neue Anordnung eines auf den Handfeuerlöscher aufzusetzenden Spritzrohres getroffen, welches die Drehbarkeit und Einstellung der Düse gestattet.
Die Zeichnung zeigt in Fig. 1 einen Handfeuerlösc1ler der bekannten Form in Verbindung mit dem neuen Spritzrohre, in Fig. 2 eine Einzelansicht des letzteren in grösserem Massstabe mit Schnitt durch die Anschlussverschraubung nebst Stopfbüchsenführung.
Statt der gewöhnlichen Düse ist am Feuerlöschkörper a (Fig. 1) ein Gewindestutzen b des mehr oder weniger langen Spritzrohres c befestigt bzw. aufgeschraubt, in dem das Spritzrohr mittels Überwurfsmutter befestigt ist. Das Spritzrohr c nebst Düse d lässt sich im Gewindestutzen b drehen, der um den Hals c'des Rohres herum ein den Nebenaustritt von Flüssigkeit verhinderndes Führungslager bildet. Eine Handgriffscheibe e ermöglicht es (Fig. 1), eine beliebige Einstellung bzw. Drehung des Spritzrohres und der Düse mit der Hand vorzunehmen.
Die Öffnung o an der Düse d ist schräg gebohrt, um den Strahl seitlich austreten zu lassen. Die Anordnung ermöglicht, dass man beim Gebrauche des Apparates das Spritz- rohr c z. B. unter einen Schrank führt und dann durch Drehung an der Handgriffscheibe e die Einstellung der Düse so vornimmt, dass sich die Spritzwirkung nach der gewünschten
Seite erstreckt. Auf diese Weise gelingt es, selbst zu unzugänglich gelegenen Brandherden hinter Verschalungen, Brettern, Spinden usw. die Wirkung des Feuerlösehers gelangen zu lassen, wobei man durch die Griffscheibe e jederzeit eine genaue Kontrolle bezüglich der

Handy fire extinguishers for use in inaccessible areas of fire.
The present invention relates to the known hand-held fire extinguishers in which the filling content of a container, if a gas pressure is generated in the same by the action of acid, is sprayed out through a nozzle. The fixed spray nozzle with an inclined bore on the well-known Minimax fire extinguisher has proven itself in the usual cases where the jet of the escaping extinguishing liquid has to be directed from a distance onto the burning object. There are, however, occasions when it is desirable to be able to direct the beam behind sheathing, wall coverings, under cupboards and beds, etc., onto identified or suspected more or less hidden burns.
For this purpose, the present new arrangement of a spray tube to be placed on the hand fire extinguisher has been made, which allows the nozzle to be rotated and adjusted.
The drawing shows in Fig. 1 a handheld fire trigger of the known form in connection with the new spray pipe, in Fig. 2 a single view of the latter on a larger scale with a section through the screw connection together with the stuffing box guide.
Instead of the usual nozzle, a threaded connector b of the more or less long spray tube c is attached or screwed on the fire extinguisher body a (Fig. 1), in which the spray tube is attached by means of a union nut. The spray tube c together with the nozzle d can be rotated in the threaded connector b which forms a guide bearing around the neck c 'of the tube preventing the secondary escape of liquid. A handle disc e allows (Fig. 1) to make any setting or rotation of the spray tube and the nozzle by hand.
The opening o on the nozzle d is drilled at an angle to allow the jet to emerge from the side. The arrangement makes it possible that when using the apparatus, the spray pipe c z. B. leads under a cupboard and then by turning the handle disk e makes the setting of the nozzle so that the spray effect according to the desired
