EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Heat exchanger
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Completing the channel cross-section provides good accessibility to the connection points and, on the other hand, ensures a constant channel cross-section in the two extremes of the heat exchanger, so that the air can flow through the upper connection channel and the water can flow through the lower connection channel in the event of the heat exchanger being emptied.
The webs that are transverse to the wall sections formed on the pipe and that enclose an angle different from zero with one another make it possible to design the heat exchanger in an arc shape in such a way that it extends in the longitudinal extension of its pipe group of the respective installation situation, be it a curved wall surface or a room corner , adapts through its shape.
In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the upper edges of the molded-on wall sections are straight, and they run parallel to the center line of the connecting channel section formed from the inside.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which the heat exchanger is shown schematically in each case in a horizontal cross section through the connecting duct. 1 shows a heat exchanger with straight upper edges of the wall sections that run parallel to the center line of the connecting duct section, FIG. 2 shows a heat exchanger with continuously curved upper edges of the wall sections that run parallel to the center line of the curved connecting duct, and
3 a heat exchanger with a central, arched tube group and on both sides of it arranged additional tube elements with molded flat wall sections forming a straight connecting duct section, the straight longitudinal axis of the latter merging tangentially into the center line of the duct section of the outer tube element of the curved tube group.
In Fig. 1, three tubes - 1, 1 'and 1 "- one behind the other with longitudinal axes running parallel to one another - la, la' and 1a" - are lined up to form a tube group - R. The tubes - 1, 1 'and 1 "- open into an upper and lower connecting channel running perpendicular to their longitudinal axes --1a, la' and 1a", of which only the upper one is shown in FIG --2--
EMI2.1
--2-- is a running and with each other enclosing an angle a different from zero and for the mutual connection of the respectively adjacent tubes - 1, 1 'resp.
l ″ - serving flange-like webs - 7 - are formed on, the connecting channel sections - 3, 4, 5 - being directly connected to one another at the end via the surface parts - 7 '. in that the two webs - 7 - Each tube --1, 1 'or 1 "- enclose an angle a other than zero, according to the embodiment of FIG. 1 for the heat exchanger as a whole there is a plan shape in the form of a sector from a regular, i.e. H. equilateral polygon, which, however, as FIG. 1 clearly shows, largely approximates the shape of a corresponding circular ring sector.
Thanks to this design, the heat exchanger can be adapted well to a preferably continuously curved wall surface or also to a corner of the room and thus well adapted to the respective installation situation.
The connecting channel - 2 - which is open at the top and formed by the interconnected channel sections - 3, 4 and 5 - is closed by an attached trough-like profile, which preferably extends over all the pipe elements of the heat exchanger.
In Fig. 2, an embodiment of the heat exchanger is shown in which the wall parts designated here with -6'- are continuous, ie. H. are cylindrical, curved and parallel to the longitudinal axis - A '- of the arcuate connecting channel - 2' -. Otherwise, the embodiment of FIG. 2 corresponds to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and described above.
3 shows a heat exchanger with a central, arched tube group - R '- composed of three tubes and arranged on both sides of it
EMI2.2

two outer tubes - l or l "- of the arched tube group - R '-.
From the three design variants described above with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, it already emerges that the heat exchanger according to the invention can largely be adapted to the respective installation conditions and the other advantages of the invention, as described in the introduction, are also guaranteed here.
The heat exchanger of FIG. 2 or the middle tube group -R '- of FIG. 3 do not have to be cylindrically curved, as is shown in these two figures, but they can also have a different curvature, for example of an elliptical shape. The heat exchanger according to FIG. 3 can also be designed in such a way that its central tube group - R '- is either continuously curved, as shown in FIG. 2, or in the form of a sector made of a regular polygon, as shown in FIG. 1 shows. The embodiment according to FIG. 3 with additional tubes attached to the two outer tubes of the middle tube group - R '- can also be such that an essentially rectangular shape results in the outline.
The proposed heat exchanger is not bound to the embodiments shown in the drawings, but the details of the execution can be varied within the scope of the invention.
