<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Method and device for dyeing pile-free, in particular textile fabrics
The invention relates to a method for dyeing pile-less fabrics, especially textiles
Flat structures in which the paint is applied to the item to be colored from the interior of at least one driven screen cylinder, which is the one moving transversely to the direction of the cylinder axis
Well touched, and on a device for performing the procedure.
For the dyeing of flat textile structures (also called piece goods or goods for short), the known procedures primarily involve treating the goods in a dye solution, which
Fleet is called. To manage the goods in the dye liquor, the use of
Proposed screen cylinders. After the exhaust process, the piece goods are drawn through the dye liquor in strand form or in a wide state. In the padding process, the goods impregnated in the dye liquor are passed between squeeze rollers, which press the liquor into the goods.
These known dyeing processes have certain disadvantages. So are the exhaust process
Color consumption and color loss are relatively large. Furthermore, controlling the intensity of the
Coloring is very difficult and, finally, the dyeing is done quite slowly using the exhaust process, so that only a low output can be achieved with this process. The
Disadvantages of the padding process are mainly the high pressure that must be present between the nip rollers and which for certain goods, e.g. B. with florige goods, can lead to a deterioration in the quality of the goods. In addition, the dyed padding often bends
Pinch rollers on, which calls into question the uniformity of the coloration.
Finally, even with the padding process, controlling the intensity of the coloring is difficult and only to a limited extent
Mass possible.
For printing webs of material devices are also known in which the
Goods is guided over an endless, self-contained support and transport path and the
Coloring takes place via a perforated screen cylinder (stencil cylinder) corresponding to the pattern to be printed, from the inside of which the printing ink is applied to the with the help of a squeegee

The sieve cylinder and the transport movement of the support and conveyor belt are respected to avoid blurring of the
To avoid printed image.
The invention is therefore based on the object of improving the dyeing process of the specified type, so that above all economical use of the dye, gentle mechanical treatment of the material to be dyed and the possibility of simple and yet finely graded control of the intensity of the
Coloring result.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that, in order to control the intensity of the coloring, the material to be colored is different from the peripheral speed of the rotating screen cylinder
Transport speed is granted.
If the screen cylinder runs more slowly, less color will flow to one and the same point of the goods. The ink supply is increased when the difference between the transport speed of the goods and the peripheral speed of the screen cylinder is lower, until finally the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Peripheral speed is equal to the transport speed of the goods. A further increase in the supply of ink can be achieved by making the peripheral speed of the screen cylinder greater than the transport speed of the goods.
It is useful if the control takes place in a range which, based on the synchronization of the screen cylinder and the goods to be dyed, on the one hand at least up to twice the circumferential speed of the screen cylinder in relation to the transport speed of the goods to be dyed and on the other hand at least up to twice the transport speed in relation to the peripheral speed of the screen cylinder is sufficient.
The implementation of the inventive method can, for. B. be done with the help of a device that has an expediently endless, self-contained support and transport path for the goods to be colored and at least one rotating screen cylinder, but the drive should be designed so that the peripheral speed of the screen cylinder compared to the transport speed of the support -and conveyor track is adjustable changeable.
Pressing the paint through the openings of the screen cylinder can, for. B. be carried out by a coating or roller squeegee acting on the inner wall of the screen cylinder or z. B. in that the color is pressed through a slot nozzle arranged in the interior of the screen cylinder onto the inner wall of the screen cylinder and through the openings of the same onto the goods to be dyed.
As a result, however, there are no high pressure loads on the goods to be dyed.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings through an exemplary embodiment, without
