<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Nach öffnen des Muffenschiebers --5-- wird;

<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
FIG. 1 shows the course of a damaged house connection water pipe and FIG. 2 shows a sealing body pressed onto a broken pipe.
In Fig. 1, a house connection line --1-- is shown, which is connected to a main line --2-- running in the street via a house connection valve --3--. The house connection line-l-joins one after crossing the house wall --4--

the house connection line - l- is located. To close the leak --12-- according to the method according to the invention, the sleeve valve --5-- is closed and the counter 6-

After opening the socket valve --5-- becomes;
EMI2.3
The pressure must be greater than the pressure prevailing in the line in order to be able to move the sealing body against it.
The sealing body - 14, 15 - can be designed as a hollow ball made of a rubber-like material or plastic. The wall of the hollow sealing body can consist of an elastic inner layer and a plastic outer layer. It is also possible, however, for the sealing bodies to have a full core - 14 - made of a specifically light, elastic material and a jacket - 15 - made of a plastic material.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, such a sealing body --14.15-- is plastically deformed when pressed against the leakage --12-- of the pipe wall --13-- in its jacket area --15--, so that Even irregularly shaped leaks can be closed. The elastic core - -14-- prevents the plastic mass from being pressed through the leak.
