Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a door leaf, consisting of two metallic cover sheets in their
Edge zones are connected like folds, a honeycomb body being glued in between the cover sheets to form a rigid composite body according to patent 246971.

   Door leaves that are used in residential construction must, in addition to the required rigidity, also have a certain thermal and acoustic insulation.

   In the subject of the parent patent, this is achieved by gluing a honeycomb core made of paper between two aluminum plates. As a result of the poor thermal conductivity of paper and the large air spaces, there is generally adequate thermal insulation.

  Due to the lightness of the construction used, however, the sound insulation is inadequate and weighting fillers in the form of gravel material sprinkled into the adhesive layers had to be used if sound insulation equivalent to a wooden door was required. However, this results in the difficulty of binding a sand or gravel layer sufficiently in the adhesive so that it cannot fall out due to vibrations when a door leaf is slammed shut and can move freely in the cavities of the honeycomb core, which leads to undesirable noise formation.

   According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the honeycomb body consists of two or more honeycomb layers glued to one another and that an adhesive, in particular water glass, is used with a weight of barium sulfate. By spreading a homogeneous special compound, which simultaneously penetrates the chambers on both sides of the separating joint, these are partially filled and thus sealed (increase in heat insulation), weight is added (increase in sound insulation) and, on top of that, a fire-retardant layer is formed, since it is not flammable which also inhibits radioactive rays.

   The object of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example.

   As can be seen therefrom, two honeycomb cores 3 and 4, preferably made of corrugated cardboard, are glued between two larger cover plates 1 and 2, in particular made of aluminum sheet, with a honeycomb cores 3 and 4 abutting one another on the separating surface 7-paste-like adhesive mixed with a weighting powdery filler is coated so that it partially penetrates into the cavities of the two honeycomb cores. This adhesive not only connects the two honeycomb cores - 3 and 4 - to one another, but also seals the end faces of the cavities, so that circulation from one honeycomb core to the other is prevented.

   The amount of paste-like adhesive that is coated in, which can more or less fill the cavities, makes it possible to achieve the required weight. Water glass is preferably used as the adhesive, while barium sulfate (heavy spar) is particularly suitable as a filler. The honeycomb cores - 3 and 4 - are usually glued to the cover plates - 1 and 2 - with a two-component epoxy resin adhesive. However, it is possible too

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 add a weighting filler such as barium sulfate or lead sulfide there.

   The combination of barium sulfate in the form of the relatively high specific weight not only results in improved sound insulation but also a certain radiation protection, since this material is known to be radiation-inhibiting.

   Since the adhesive layer is also a purely inorganic mineral material that is not flammable, the composite body also has a fire-retardant effect, since when heated on one side only the corresponding cover plate - 1 or 2 - and the honeycomb core part facing this side - 4-- are destroyed, but further penetration of the destruction is prevented by the relatively thick layer --7-- and the undestroyed honeycomb core part-3-with the other cover plate still ensures sufficient rigidity and stability of the body. For the honeycomb cores z. B. impregnated paper, aluminum or plastic can be used.

   The shape of the honeycomb (hexagon, corrugated cardboard, etc.) is immaterial.

   All known adhesives that form a good bond with the corresponding materials are suitable as adhesives.

   The composite body according to the invention can be used not only as a door leaf but also for facade elements or as a prefabricated house wall element, since it meets all the requirements, such as strength, heat and sound insulation, fire protection and the like. Like., corresponds.
