Verzierungen aufweisen. Derartige Bänder aus elastischem Gewebe sind im Handel als "Helanca-Elastikspitzen"bekannt. Besonders geeignet für den Volant--7--sind durchsichtige oder durchscheinende Stoffe, wie Voile, Georgette usw.
Der Volant soll möglichst knitterfrei und wasserabstossend sein, was durch Verwendung von Kunststoffen erreicht wird.
Das Halterungselement--l-ist kleiner als der Umfang des Tisches, auf welchem es anzuordnen bestimmt ist. Unter dem Einfluss der elastischen Zugwirkung, welche vom Material des
Halterungselementes ausgeht, klemmt sich letzteres auf der Tischplatte am Umfangsteil fest. Ist über den Tisch eine Tischdecke-9-gespannt, wie die strichpunktierten Linien in Fig. 3 erkennen lassen, so wird auch dieselbe durch das Halterungselement geklemmt und damit auf der Tischplatte festgehalten. Das Halterungselement, welches massiver ist als die Tischdecke, wirkt zusätzlich für letztere noch als Kantenschutz, was besonders bei wertvollen Ausführungen von grosser Bedeutung ist.
Die Schenkel --1',1"-- des halterungselementes --1-- sind nur in der Längsrichtung zugelastisch, in der Höhen- bzw. Querrichtung dagegen nicht, und besitzen eine gewisse Stabilität bzw.
Steifigkeit. Der Stabilitätsgrad muss jedoch eine Deformierung der Schenkel zulassen, damit sie sich den Konturen der Umfangsseite der Tischplatte anpassen können. Der Schenkel soll bei abgerundeten Umfangsseite der Tischplatte so hoch sein, dass er die Tischplatte unten etwas übergreift, um unerwünschtes Abgleiten nach oben zu verhindern.
Das Halterungselement bzw. die bandförmigen Schenkel können auch statt ganz aus
Elastikgewebeband nur teilweise zugelastisch gehalten sein. An Stelle von Druckknöpfen können selbstredend auch andere lösbare Befestigungsvorrichtungen für Volants verwendet werden.
Bei schönen Tischplatten können an Stelle der Tischdecke Sets oder Napperons auf die Tischplatte gebracht und ähnlich wie bei einer Tischdecke durch das Halterungselement festgelegt werden. Bei Gartentischen werden aufgelegte Tischdecken durch das Halterungselement windsicher gehalten.
Bei kleinen runden Tischen muss der horizontale Schenkel des Halterungselementes--1-am inneren freien Umfangsrand mit dreieckförmigen Ausschnitten--10--versehen sein, wie in Fig. 2 teilweise angedeutet ist. In letzerem Fall ist die Verkleidung --8-- notwendig, um die Ausschnitte - -10-- abzudecken.
Die beschriebene Tischgarnitur trägt nicht nur zur Hebung der dekorativen Wirkung von Tischen bei, sondern gestattet durch das Auswechseln des Volants die Veränderung und damit die Anpassung an bestimmte Anlässe, wie es besonders im Gast- und Hotelgewerbe vielfach gewünscht wird.
Die Kanten der Tischdecken werden durch das Halterungselement ebenfalls geschützt, so dass die Lebensdauer derselben verlängert wird.
Ist die Tischdecke beschmutzt, so braucht nicht auch noch der Volant und das Halterungselement gereinigt zu werden, was zu einer erheblichen Reduktion der Waschkosten beiträgt.
Die beschriebene Tischgarnitur, mit oder ohne Volatn, vermag einem Tisch und damit z. B. einem Speise ; oder Gesellschaftssaal mit vielen Tischen dank ihrer dekorativen Wirkung ein einladendes Aussehen und eine festliche Atmosphäre zu vermitteln.
