Pot and lid holder
The invention relates to a pot and lid holder which consists of a handle part with a hook that can be inserted into the handle of a dish lid to lift the lid, and a support that serves to place the holder on the edge of the dish. The known holders of this type serve exclusively as pot lid holders.
The object on which the invention is based is to be able to use this holder to grasp and carry the pot itself.
In order to achieve this, a holder of the type mentioned is proposed which, according to the invention, to enable the optional or joint inclusion of the pot and lid, has a further hook for gripping under the pot handle when lifting the pot from the stove and a support on which the pot when Grasping and carrying is provided.
The holder can have a U-profile-like support on the edge of the crockery, wherein, according to a further feature of the invention, the hook for gripping under the pot handle is designed as a bent-back, cover-side leg of the U-profile. This makes it possible to use the hook for holding the pot at the same time as for storing a cooking spoon or the like.
In the drawings, an embodiment of the pot and lid holder according to the invention is shown. 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of the subject matter of the invention and FIGS. 2 and 3 show the pot holder in two different positions of use.
The pot holder has an elongated base plate --1-- with an attached to it, in

- a bent back hook -6- adjoins it. The upper leg --7-- of the groove --4-- is lengthened compared to the lower leg -5- and forms a jaw of a clamp --9-- which can be actuated by a handle 8 and which is expediently under the influence of a spring (not shown) is held in the closed position. In the area of the hook -3-, two laterally protruding tabs -10- are provided, which serve as supports and which are bent opposite to the hook -3-.
The pot holder according to the invention is used as follows:
To remove a dish lid-11-from a pot -12, the pot holder is gripped on the bracket -2- so that the thumb is directed towards the hook -3-. Then the handle-13-of the lid -11- is grasped with the hook -3- and lifted off the pot, whereby the lobes -10-of the base-plate-l-are supported on the lid-11. If the lifted lid-11- is to be put down without being removed from the pot in order to leave the cookware uncovered for a longer period of time, the pot holder with the lid-11-, as shown in FIG. 2, with the groove- 4-- pushed over the upper edge --14 of the dishes.
In this position of the pot holder, the housewife can hold the dishes on the hanger --2- with one hand and stir the contents of the dishes with the other hand, with the hand holding the dishes through the lid-11-against fat or the like is protected. After the stirring is finished, the wooden spoon can

or the like in the hook --6-- pointing upwards in the present position of the pot holder, so that food residues flow off from it into the cookware and do not contaminate the stove.
To remove the saucepan from the hotplate, it is grasped with the hook --6-- of the pan gripper on the handle -15-, as can be seen in Fig. 3, with the clamp --9-- on the outside of the wall of the Pot is supported. In this way, the pot can be easily transported when carried by the pot holder.
The clamp --9- is used to grasp hot objects, but can also be used to remove a second dish lid if a lid is already hanging on the hook --3--.
