Device for diamond glass cutters to produce certain cuts.
The subject matter of the present invention is a device for diamond glass cutters, by means of which it is possible in a simple manner to produce certain, primarily parallel cuts on the glass surface. For this purpose, the usual diamond glass cutter is attached to an arm, which BEZW in a on the edge of the glass panel. a template to be applied slider is adjustable. When cutting, tilting of the head carrying the cutting diamond, both in the cutting direction and around the cutting line, is avoided, since the sliding piece grinds on the glass surface and thus enables safe guidance.
The drawing shows the device in an exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 2 respectively in side view. Top view.
The head 2 of the glass cutter carrying the cutting diamond 1 is fastened by means of a thread or the like to an arm 3 provided with a division and secured by the counter nut 4. The arm is displaceable in a slide 5 and can be clamped as desired by means of the wing screw 6. The slider carries a projection 7, which is also provided with a division, against which the arm 3 is adjusted with its division depending on the desired distance between the cutting lines.
The surface of the sliding piece that rubbing on the glass pane has a stop bar 8 by means of which the sliding piece, when guiding the cut on the edge of the glass pane, respectively. a stencil slides.
The glass cutter is guided in a known manner on the clamp, the stop strip grinding against the narrow surface of the glass sheet, so that a cutting line parallel to this guide edge is created. If the glass sheet has not yet been cut off in a straight line, but rather broken out irregularly, a ruler is placed on the glass sheet, the free edge of which now serves to guide the slide, whereby the glass sheet is first cut off in a straight line, which is then The straight cuts to be made use the slider as a guide.

an edge is placed on the glass board. while the sliding piece grinds along the second edge of the template so that a cutting line parallel to this edge is created. After this, the glass plate is split and the template is placed in the reverse position on this cut surface, whereupon the second split line of the gusset is cut. The other gussets are cut out in the same way.
For cuts after curved or broken lines, instead of a rail

on the edge of the glass panel respectively. the stencil slides.
Because of the guidance of the cut, an incorrect position of the cutting diamond 2 is excluded, inde) H reliable guidance is achieved by grinding the sliding piece on the narrow and the surface of the glass panel. So there is a completely clean cut. For long cutting lines, the clamp is conveniently connected to the head in an articulated manner. Needless to say, the diamond gas cutter can of course also be used on its own without the device.
