Filling device of a stone press for wedge stones
In hydraulic and mechanical stone presses with loading slide, the production of wedge stones is associated with great difficulties, since the material has to be introduced into the mold at an angle to achieve the same density.
Devices are known in which the molding box is inclined during the filling process, the lower punch is divided and lowered to different depths during the filling process, the shape is formed at an angle or the lower punch plate springs open at an angle and is pressed onto the lower punch during pressing. All of these facilities are cumbersome, are only suitable for certain identical stones and for wedge stones with a low incline.
In patent no. 245 468 a filling device of a stone press for wedge stones is protected with a filling slide, the height of the material being filled in at the strong wedge end is kept greater than at the weak wedge end. In this filling device, the horizontal movement of the filling slide is coupled with a vertical movement of the lower ram, which is slidably mounted in the mold, in such a way that the lower ram is raised when the filling slide is moved onto the open mold and the lower ram is lowered during the backward movement of the filling slide, so that the The filling level increases continuously towards the end of the mold last swept over by the filling slide.
With this device it is possible to produce wedge stones of various angles on every normal stone press just by installing the appropriate control link.
The invention relates to a kinematic reversal of the arrangement according to the parent patent. Instead of the lower ram, the floating table is moved by the filling depth adjustment piston. This arrangement has the advantage over the arrangement according to the parent patent that the filling depth adjustment piston can be kept small due to the weight-balanced floating table, movement of the heavy lower plunger is not required and therefore the filling and emptying of the cylinder cavity of the plunger movement, which is necessary for each filling process, is omitted .
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention. The lower punch 4 of the pressing tool is attached to the plunger 1. The upper punch 5 is connected to the upper press piston 6. Between the upper and lower plungers, guided on the columns of the press, lies the floating table 7, which carries the mold 8 and the filling slide 9. The floating table 7 is pressed upwards against the filling depth adjusting piston 2 by the constantly loaded lifting piston 13.
The filling slide 9 is driven by a hydraulically or mechanically operated filling slide drive lever 10 which is firmly connected to a control link 11. A roller 12 connected to the drive piston 3 runs on the curved path of the control link 11. The drive piston 3 is hydraulically connected to the filling depth adjustment piston 2.
At the start of work, the upper plunger 6 is held up by its locked retraction, while the lower plunger 1 is seated in the press cylinder. When the filling slide 9 retracts, the control link 11 and the drive piston 3 simultaneously press the filling depth adjustment piston 2 and consequently also the floating table 7 downwards. The return of the filling slide 9 causes

by the lifting piston 13 a lifting of the floating table 7, whereby an inclined filling is created. The further pressing process takes place in a known manner.
