Device for draining the intermediate stages of compressors
The invention relates to a device for dewatering the intermediate stages of compressors.
Have compressors finished their work after B. the pressurized gas container has been filled with pressurized gas, it is necessary to free the individual stages of the compressor from the condensate deposited during operation of the compressor in order to ensure that the compressor works properly when the compressor is started up. For this reason, it is also known to assign a valve to each stage of the compressor, the stages can also be combined in pairs, in order to free the individual stages from condensate. However, since these valves have to be operated by hand, there is a considerable disadvantage in particular when the compressors are installed in systems in which the units for which the stored compressed gas is provided are operated automatically.
It is also known to automatically dewater a condensate separator assigned to the compressor, but an electrically or pneumatically controlled valve which is opened when the compressor drive motor is switched off at a certain pressure in the compressed gas container.
However, this arrangement cannot guarantee that a multi-stage compressor will work properly because not all of the intermediate stages of the compressor are also drained.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a device which ensures that the intermediate stages of compressors are also drained automatically.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the drain valve can be actuated by the piston of a cylinder assigned to an electrically or pneumatically controlled pilot valve, which can be acted upon via a pressure line, and that further check valves assigned to each or several combined intermediate stages of the compressor are connected to the drain valve via a common line. To operate the drainage valve, the pressurized gas present at the pilot valve can be connected both to the pressurized gas container behind the condensate collector and to the first intermediate stage of the compressor.
If the pressurized gas at the pilot valve is in connection with the first intermediate stage of the compressor, it is advisable to provide a pressure vessel in the line between the first intermediate stage and the pilot valve to achieve the required pressure behind the piston.
The invention will be explained in more detail using a representation using an exemplary embodiment.
The drawing shows a device for dewatering the intermediate stages of compressors of the type according to the invention, in which 1 the compressor, 2, 3 and 4 the check valves assigned to the individual intermediate stages of the compressor and 5 the drainage valve. When the compressor is put into operation, the first intermediate stage of the compressor via the check valve 2, the pipeline system 6 up to the check valve 7 and up to the drainage valve 5 including the condensate collector 8 is filled with pressurized gas that has a pressure equal to that of the first intermediate stage corresponds.
Through the further intermediate stages of the compressor, the pressure of the compressed gas is continuously increased until the final stage of the compressor finally begins to deliver and the compressed gas via the condensate collector 8 and the check valve 7

fill container 9 with pressurized gas. In this process, the check valves 2, 3 and 4 have the task of preventing the pressurized gas from flowing over into the respective preceding intermediate stage. When full pressure is reached in the compressed gas container 9, not only is the motor 10 of the compressor switched off, but the circuit 11 of the electromagnet 12 is also closed, so that a pilot valve 13 assigned to the drainage valve 5 is opened.
The compressed gas present at the pilot valve 13 via the line 14 thus reaches behind the piston. 15 of the drainage valve 5 acts on it and thus opens the drainage valve 5. As a result, the pressurized gas in the pipeline system 6 up to the check valve 7 and up to the drainage valve 5 escapes together with the condensate via the bore 16 into

then open when the pressure of the respective intermediate stage is reached.
The pressurized gas present at the pilot valve 13 can also be supplied via the line 17, which is connected to the first intermediate stage of the compressor. In this case it is expedient if the pressure vessel 18 is provided in order to ensure the function of the drainage valve during the entire drainage process.
