Schaltungsanordnung zum Auswählen verschiedenwertiger Fahrtsignalbilder an in Fahrtrichtung aufeinanderfolgenden
Eisenbahnsignalen in Spurplanstellwerken
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

bild gn/ge an.
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
EMI6.1
lais R2 (Minuspotential) angezogen bleibt.
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Circuit arrangement for selecting different-valued travel signal images on successive ones in the travel direction
Railway signals in track plan signal boxes
The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for selecting different-valued travel signal images on successive railway signals in the direction of travel in lane plan signal boxes, in which relay groups assigned to switches, signals and partial routes are connected to one another according to the track plan. Especially in train stations with long tracks and platforms, when there is a high traffic density, it is desirable that several trains can enter the same train station track one after the other and stop there one after the other.
For this purpose, several partial routes are provided, one behind the other, which are usually only separated by so-called track section signals, that is, signals without distant signals. Between these signals there are usually distances that are shorter than the braking distance of the trains entering the station at the maximum permitted speed.
When switching on a travel signal image on these track section signals, the shape of the route must also be in addition to the length, z. B. straight ahead, close-off or long-distance turn-off, and - due to the lack of advance signals - the signal image of the signal following in the direction of travel are taken into account.
A combined path-speed signaling is therefore required.
A circuit arrangement for multi-image signals in track switchgear is known, in which the relay groups assigned to the points are connected to one another according to the track plan. In this circuit arrangement, each end of a route is assigned its own characteristic which, after the route has been selected, is transmitted to the beginning of the route via one or more circuits or lines simulated on the track plan. The selected travel signal concept depends on whether the route leads over a junction or not. For this purpose, however, several circuits based on the track plan and thus a correspondingly high contact effort in the relay groups of the partial routes are required. In addition, there must be for the various labels, for example by currents of different polarity or
Phase position or frequency are transmitted, the beginning of the route various receiving devices such. B. direct current and phase or. frequency-sensitive AC relays. Furthermore, the method used therein is only suitable for entries from a main track into a station track without track section signals or for exits from a station track into a main line.
The invention is based on the object of selecting, in track plan signal boxes with track section signals, the travel signal image required for the particular route set depending on the travel signal image of the signal ahead, and making do with as few circuits as possible connected according to the track plan.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that each signal is assigned at least two signal-dependent relays connected in series, which are switched on in the associated partial route relay group when train routes beginning at or beyond the relevant signal are set, depending on the potential of one of the relay group of the signal ahead incoming line, which is connected between these relays and whose potential depends on the signal aspect of the signal ahead, remain attracted
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
or drop and with their contacts in cooperation with contacts whose position depends on the set route, select an actuating relay for the driving signal image to be switched on.
The advantage of a circuit arrangement according to the invention is that only one line connected through according to the track plan is required for the dependence on the Signalbil of the signal ahead.
The dependency of the signal image to be switched on on the set route, on the other hand, can only be established in partial circuits that belong to the train route relay groups for the individual partial routes.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in Figs. 1-4 of the drawing and explained below:
Fig. 1 shows a section of the track plan of a train station with the switches 1-8, the entry signal A, the exit advance signal a and the Gleisabsclinittssignalen BE for train journeys from track X to track Y. Shunting signals for these journeys and the corresponding signals for journeys in Opposite directions are not shown. The distances between the signals A-E, which follow one another directly from left to right, are said to be smaller than the maximum braking distance required for the maximum permissible train speed.
Fig. 2 shows schematically the switch relay groups W1-W8 assigned to switches 1-8 and interconnected according to the track plan. These contain in a known manner all switching means that are required when setting routes for changing, locking and releasing the lock of the switch in question and for ensuring the flank protection. To set and monitor the signals a and A-E shown in Fig. 1, the exit pre-signal relay group Sa, the entry signal relay group SA and the Gleisabschnittssigna1relaisgruppen SB-SE are provided, which are controlled by the partial route relay groups FA-FE. The signal relay group SY belongs to a block signal (not shown) on track Y.
In the case of a route setting order, for example by pressing a start point assigned to the start and a destination point of the route, e.g. If the destination key is given, the admissibility check of the required control orders is carried out first. If this is permissible, the wrongly placed turnouts to be driven on and the protective points will be changed and all points used by the route will be closed. The turnout relay groups of the turnouts to be used in switching networks that are modeled on the track plan switch through circuits that correspond to the set route.
The individual train route relay groups check whether the conditions for switching on a driving signal image are met on the associated signal. The relevant partial route is then determined and the control relay for the signal aspect is selected in the associated signal relay group.
The circuits essential to the subject matter of the invention and the switching operations taking place in them for selecting the signal pattern dependent on the route and the signal ahead are explained with reference to FIGS. Sa and 3b. The subcircuits shown in these figures are for

exist and display the following signal aspects:
Green (gn): Drive free.
Green / money (gn / ye): Drive freely with speed limit.
Yellow / yellow (yellow / yellow): Drive carefully, stop at the next signal.
Red (rt): Stop.
The signal aspect gn should only be able to be switched on at the track section signals B-E if the signal aspect gn is switched on at the signal ahead and no branching line of points has to be traveled up to this signal. For driving over a junction, on the other hand, instead of the signal aspect gn, the signal aspect gn / ge should be switched on. The travel signal image gn / ge should also only be able to be switched on, regardless of the course of the route, if the travel signal image gn / ge or ge / ge is switched on at the signal ahead, while the third least significant travel signal image should be switched on if the signal ahead is the stop signal image rt shows.
When entering via the straight line of the switch 1, only the signal aspect ge / ge and the signal aspect gn should always be switched on at the entry signal A for the stop signal aspect rt of the signal B following in a shortened braking distance distance and the signal aspect gn for all travel signal aspects of signal B. When entering via the branching line of the switch 1, the signal aspect gn / ge should always appear at the entry signal A and thereby indicate that the route ahead up to the following signal C
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
or D a junction is being taken.
Depending on the signal pattern of the next signal B, C or D in the route, the following signal patterns are provided at the exit pre-signal a: gn / gn for gn to B, C or D gn / ye for gn / ye or ye / ye to B, C, or D ge / ge at rt to C or D.
The pre-exit signal a should be dark, i.e. all signal lights should be switched off when the length of the set route to the next signal with the stop signal image rt switched on is shorter than the required braking distance. In the exemplary embodiment, this is only the case when entering the track section in front of signal B, since an exit pre-signal is only provided here.
The subcircuits shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b show more details of the relay groups FA and SA as well as FB and SB. Of the relay groups FC-FE as well as SC-SE and SY, only those current branches are shown that are required for the dependency of the signal aspect to be connected to the previous signal. The circuit structure and the mode of operation of the relay groups FC-FE and SC-SE correspond to those of the relay group FB and SB, so that they are not shown in full. The relay group FA is also equipped with the same relays as the relay group FB.
Only the mode of operation of the relay group FA is changed compared to the other Zugfahrstrassenrelaisgruppen by inserting or removing switching bridges Kl-K6 in such a way that it is adapted to the requirements for controlling the entry signal A and the exit signal a. Because the relay groups FA-FE or SA-SE and SY are similarly equipped, the same reference numerals have been used in FIGS. 3a and 3b for the switching means that correspond to one another.
An exact representation of the partial circuits of the relay groups W1-W8 for the switches 1-8 lying between the signals A-E has been omitted in the interest of a clear representation. Via these subcircuits, the illustrated subcircuits FA-FE are connected to one another by several circuit networks with the lines L1 and L2 according to the track plan.
In the example assumed, line L3 is required between relay groups FA and FB, since only signal B follows signal A in the shortened braking distance.
In the route relay groups FA-FE, so-called signal dependency relays R1 and R2 are provided, the switching state of which, apart from the connection contacts VI and SF3, depends on the potential of the line L1. This potential is when setting a route from the signal image of the one ahead. Signal dependent, as will be explained in more detail. The relays R1 and R2 each have two windings 11 and 12 or 21 and 22. The windings 11 and 21 are connected in series. A line is connected between them, which is connected to the line L1 via the parallel-connected windings 12 and 22 and the contact SF2. Depending on the signal pattern of the signal following in the direction of travel, this carries no potential, positive potential or negative potential.
The direction of winding of the windings 11, 12, 21 and 22 is indicated by the designations I and II. The relay Rl

electricity flows through it. They drop or remain dropped when current flows through their windings in opposite directions. If, for example, contact VI is closed when contact SF1 is open, both relays R1 and R2 respond via their coils 11 and 21 connected in series in the same direction. If the contacts SF1 and SF3 are closed, the switching status of these relays depends on the potential of the line L1. If this line has no potential, both relays respond. If it carries minus or plus potential, the windings 12 and 22 are excited in opposite directions.
Relay R2 responds to negative potential, since current flows through its two windings 21 and 22 in the 1-n direction. The relay R1 drops out, since current flows through its winding 11 in the direction I-II and its winding 12 in the direction II-I. With positive potential on line L1, relay R1 responds analogously, while relay R2 drops out.
If, for example, an entry route for a train is to be set from track X to track section signal B, when the start and destination buttons for the route to be set are pressed, relay groups of those sub-routes that belong to the route to be set, i.e. in the train route relay group FA , the functionality of the signal dependency relays RlundR2 checked. For this purpose, contacts VlundV2 are temporarily activated. The series-connected windings 11 and in these groups are via the contact V1
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
21 of the relays Rl and R2 switched on, so that these relays respond.
In doing so, they activate circuits (not shown) by means of which further subsequent switching processes are triggered or initiated, which are the prerequisite for defining the route and selecting the signal image. Furthermore, the admissibility of the route setting order is checked. If this is permissible, the required turnout-setting orders are triggered and all points to be used for the entire route are locked. As a result, contacts of relays, not shown, are closed in the subcircuits of the turnouts belonging to the route and to be traveled on, the armature position of which must be checked before a travel signal image is switched on, e.g. B. on the correct switch position, the switch lock and the existing flank protection dependent contacts.
When the anchor is in the correct position, these contacts switch the line Ll from the partial route relay group assigned to the starting point of the route, ie from group FA, to the partial route relay group assigned to the destination, ie to group FB.
If the dependency relays Rl and R2 have worked properly in all of the partial route relay groups belonging to the route to be set, the contact SI is closed in the partial route relay group assigned to the beginning of the route and contact ZI is closed in the partial route relay group assigned to the end of the route. If the line LI is properly connected and free of plus or minus potential, the test relays P respond in these partial route relay groups and switch the start and destination relays (not shown) into the active position.
As a result, the contacts SF1-SF3 of the starting point setting relay in the relay group FA assigned to the starting point and the contacts ZF1-ZF4 of the target setting relay in the relay group FB assigned to the target point are operated. Furthermore, the contacts VI and V2 are switched to the position shown with a delay.
The test relays P of the relay groups FA and FB are switched off by the contact ZF1 of the relay group FB. Via the contact ZF2, a potential is applied to the part of the line LI leading to the relay group FA, which is dependent on the signal aspect connected to the signal B.
In the case of the signal image gn, the positive potential would be via the contact US1 of a monitoring relay (not shown) and in the case of the signal image gn / ge and geige via the contact US2 or. US3 negative potential on line 11. For the route to be set only up to signal B, this shows the signal image rt. The contacts US1-US3 are open so that there is no potential on the line Ll. Therefore, when the contacts SF2 and SF3 close in the relay group FA,

device L3 in series contacts Pl, the active control winding 31 of another signal-dependent relay R3 of the relay group FA switched on. This is a bistable relay, e.g. B. support, toggle or latching relays and has two reset windings 32 and 33.
When this relay is activated, contacts R31-R34 in relay group FA are activated. The contact R31 switches on the active control winding 31 of the relay R3 via the line L2 and the previously closed contact ZF3 in the relay group FB, which actuates its contacts R32-R34 and other contacts not shown. In this case, via a circuit network (not shown), which is modeled on the track system, in the relay group FA, the route supervisor (not shown) can respond to the sub-drivers starting at signal A and switch on a route signal setting relay (not shown) that is assigned to the route leading straight through the right branch of the switch Wl and in the circuit of FIG. 3a, the contacts FS11 and FS12 are actuated.
The switching of these contacts has no effect in this case, since when relay R3 of relay group FA is active, contact R32 is open and prevents the switching on of the signal setting relays SSI and SS2 for the higher-order travel signal images gn and gn / ge.
When the contact R33 of the relay group FA closes, the signal setting relay SS3 in the relay group SA responds via the closed contact V2 and the contacts R33, RIS and R23 in series, which have been closed by the signal dependency relays R1-R3, and does not switch in The illustrated circuits connect the signal aspect ge / ge to signal A. Furthermore, further contacts of the signal dependency relays Rl-R3 of the relay group FA in circuits not shown mean that no stop or travel signal image is displayed on the exit advance signal a or the signal image that may previously be displayed is deleted as long as the signal following in the direction of travel in the reduced braking distance B shows the stop signal image rt.
If the route is approached and thereby dissolved, the contacts SI, SF1-SF3 as well as FSl1 and FS12 in the relay group FA are brought back into the position shown. The relays Rl and R2 drop out and
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
switch off the signal relay SS3 through their contacts Rl3 and R23. Furthermore, on the Kon. bars Rll and R21. and R34 and ZF3, the reset winding 33 of the relay R3 is switched on and this is reset to the position shown.
In the relay group FB, when the route is dissolved, the contacts ZI and ZFl-ZF4 are brought back into the position shown, with the contact ZF5 resetting the relay R3 of this relay group by switching on the reset winding.
If, for example, the partial route starting at signal B can be set to signal C before the train passes signal A, then when the associated start and destination buttons are pressed for this partial route, corresponding switching processes are initially performed. In the relay group FB, the signal dependency relays RlundRZ are initially activated via the contact. VI switched on. Then the contact Zl in this relay group and the contact Sl in the relay group FC are closed. After the test relay P of these two relay groups has responded, the contacts FS11 and FS12 of the route signal setting relay for the route that continues straight ahead and the contacts SFl-SF3 of the starting point of this relay group are actuated in the relay group FB. Contacts ZFl and ZF2 are activated in relay group FC.
When the stop signal image of the signal C is switched on, the contacts US1-US3 in the relay group SC are open, so that there is no potential on the part of the line L1 connected between the relay groups FC and FB. Therefore, both relays Rl and R2 remain energized in the relay group FB when the contact SFl closes. Their contacts R13 and R23 then switch independently of the armature position of relay R3. Since the contact R31 is short-circuited by the contact bridge K3, the signal setting relay SS3 is switched on, so that the signal image appears on signal B. The signal setting relays SS1 and SS2 and the reset winding 33 of the relay R3 remain de-energized because both contacts R11 and R21 are open.
The relay R3 is reset by its reset winding 32, which is switched on when the route monitor (not shown) for partial routes starting at signal B is triggered via its contact FU1 and contact ZF4.
When the signal aspect ge / ge on signal B is switched on, contact US3 is closed in signal group SB, so that the part of line Ll leading to relay group FA is negative. As a result, relay R1 drops out in this relay group, while relay R2 remains energized. The signal relay SS3 is switched off by contact R13, which opens when relay R1 drops out. The reset winding 33 of the relay R3 is switched on via the contact Rll, which closes at the same time, and the contacts R34 and ZF5, so that this and its contacts again assume the starting position shown.
The control relay SSl of relay group SA now receives response current via contact R32 and contacts FS 11 and FS22 and switches on the travel signal image nn at entry signal A. Furthermore, contacts of the signal dependency relay R2, which is still activated, switch on the signal aspect gn / ge at the entry pre-signal a. This indicates that a speed-limiting travel signal image is switched on at signal B ahead.
If the partial route is also set from the signal C to the signal E showing the signal aspect rt, then in a corresponding manner as it was described for the selection of the signal aspect at the signal B depending on the signal aspect of the signal C, at the signal C the Signal aspect switched on. Then there is negative potential across the contact US3 on the part of the line LI leading from the relay group FC to the relay group FB. In the relay group. FB drops out as a result of the signal-dependent relay R1, while the signal-dependent relay R2 remains energized. Therefore the signal setting relay SS3 in the signal relay group SB is switched off by the contact R13. In the part of their response circuits common to the control relays SS1 and SS2, the contact Rll is now closed from the two parallel, previously open contacts R11 and R21.
In the circuits leading to the control relays SS1 and SS2 with the contacts FSll, FS12, FS21 and FS22, which are dependent on the route, the circuit is now via the switching bridge K6 and the contact R25

picture gn / ge an. Since the closing contact US2 applies negative potential to the part of the line LI leading to the relay group FA, the signal aspect gn remains switched on at signal A and the signal aspect gn / ge remains switched on at the extension signal a.
If the route branching off in the switch 3 were set, then when the relay dropped

relay Rl and energized relay R2 address the control relay SS2 via the contacts FS12 and FS21. The open contact R24 prevents the signal control relay SS1 for the most significant travel signal image gn from responding, regardless of the course of the route, as long as one of the speed-restricted travel signal images ge / ge and gn / ge is switched on at the signal ahead.
The signal aspects mentioned above remain switched on at signals a, A and B even if the exit road starting at signal E is placed in track Y and the block signal ahead is the stop signal image. rt or the FahrtsignalbId ge / ge or gn / ge for
EMI6.1
lais R2 (negative potential) remains attracted. In both cases, the signal aspect gn / ge is or remains switched on at the previous signals C, B and a and the signal aspect gn at signal A.
Only when the block signal shows the signal aspect gn and the relay group SY applies positive potential to the line LI via the contact US1, the signal aspect gn can also be switched on at the signals E, C and B. If, for example, the contact US1 is closed in the relay group SC, so that the positive potential is on the part of the line LI connected to the relay group FB instead of the negative potential, then the relay Rl picks up because its two windings 11 and 12 in the direction I-li are traversed by current, on the other hand the previously activated relay R2 drops out, since its winding 21 in the direction I-II and its winding 22 in the direction 11-1 are traversed by current.
The signal setting relay SS2 is switched off by the open contact R25 and the signal setting relay SSI is switched on by the closed contact R24. As a result, the signal aspect gn appears at signal B instead of the signal aspect gn / ge. Then the contact US2 opens in the relay group SB and the contact USl switches positive potential to the line LI connected through to the relay group FA, so that the relay R1 picks up there and the relay R2 drops out. Since contact R24 is short-circuited by switching bridge K2, the signal setting relay SSI in relay group SA was already energized and the signal aspect gn was switched on.
Due to the contacts (not shown) of the relay R2 that has dropped out and of the relay R1 that has been picked up, the green / green signal is switched on at the entry pre-signal instead of the green / yellow signal.
If the entry road starting at the signal A is set via the switches 1, 2, 5 and 4 to the signal D showing the signal image rt, then after the relays Rl and R2 have responded, the
EMI6.2
group FD, the contacts ZF1 and ZF2 of the target point setting relay are operated. Then in the relay group FA the relays R1 and R2 respond depending on the potential that the contacts US1-DS3 of the relay group SD place on the connected part of the line LI. The relay R3 remains in the basic position shown, since the line L3 is not routed to the route relay group FD. This is also not necessary, since the normal braking distance should exist between signals A and D.
In this case, the relays R1 and R2 at the exit advance signal a always switch on the signal aspect that corresponds to the signal aspect of the signal ahead. In this case, the signal aspect ge / ge cannot be switched on at the entry signal A, since the contact R33 in the circuit of the signal setting relay SS3 remains open. Instead, the signal aspect is always green / yellow, since contact R32 remains closed in relay group FA and contacts FS21 and FS22 are actuated when setting the route via the branching line of switch 1, so that only the signal setting relay SS2 can respond. This is also the case when the detour route from signal A to signal C is set via switches 1, 2, 5 and 6.
Then only the signal image at the approach signal a is dependent on the signal image of the signal C instead of the signal image of the signal D.
When setting the route from signal A via switches 1, 3 and 4 to signal D and possibly further via switches 7 and 8 to signal E, the signal aspects at exit pre-signal a and signal A are selected again depending on signal B, as already described. The signal aspects at signal B are then dependent on the signal aspect at signal D. In this course of the route that branches off at switch 3, the relay
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
group FB actuates contacts FS21 and FS22 instead of contacts FSl1 and FS12. If both relays R1 and R2 remain energized in this relay group, their contacts R13 and R23 actuate the signal setting relay SS3, which switches on the signal aspect ge / ge.
The circuit with the contacts Rll and R12, R21 and R22 and the switching bridges K4 and K5 is interrupted by both contacts lying in parallel to the control relays SSI and SS2 for the higher-order travel signal images gn / ge and gn. If only one of the relays Rl and R2 remains energized, the signal relay SS2 is always activated either via the contacts Rll and R22 or R21 and R12 as well as FS12 and FS21
EMI7.1
bild gn cannot respond because contacts FSl1 and FS22 as well as either contact R24 or contact R25 are interrupted.
A route can be set from the outset that extends over several partial routes, e.g. B. from signal A to signal E, then in all associated partial route relay groups FA-FC, the ability of the signal dependency relays Rl and R2 to work is first checked. Then the contact S1 in the relay group FA and the contact ZI in the relay group FE are closed and the line LI connected between them is checked for continuity and freedom from potential by the test relays P of these two relay groups. Then the starting point setting relay in the relay group FA, the destination setting relay in the relay group FE and the start and destination setting relay in the relay groups FB and FC are actuated.
Through its contacts, the switched-through line L1 is separated into as many parts as there are partial routes belonging to the route. Each of these parts is switched through to the signal dependency relays R1 and R2 in the relay group assigned to the beginning of the relevant partial route and in the relay group of the partial route following in the direction of travel to the contacts USI-US3. This separation means that
EMI7.2
Signal dependency relay R1d then in the manner already described.
The signal dependency relays R1 and R2 need not necessarily each have two windings. It is also possible to do without the windings 12 and 22 and to connect the line L1 directly between the windings 11 and 21 via the contact SF2. Then the winding 11 is short-circuited when the line is negative potential and the winding 12 is short-circuited when the line is positive. The relays R1 and R2 also work in the manner described. However, they must be dimensioned for a higher thermal load, since when one relay is short-circuited, the current in the other relay rises to double the value.
It is also possible to provide more than two signal-dependent relays and to control them differently for each signal aspect of the signal ahead via just one line of a circuit network simulated by the track system. 4 shows a corresponding example for a route relay group FF with four relays R4-R7, which are fed with alternating current half-waves in a known manner via valve cells V4-V7. A line L4 is connected between the relays, the alternating potential of which depends on the signal aspect of the associated signal via the contacts U4-U7 and the valve cells V40-V70 of the signal relay group SG. If the line is potential-free, all four relays R4-R7 respond.
If one of the contacts U4-U7 is closed, the relay and the valve cell with the same appended number are short-circuited during the relevant half-waves, so that the relay drops out. If the contacts U4 and U6 or U7 or U5 and U6 or U7 are closed at the same time, both relays are de-energized. In this way, apart from the "all contacts U4-U7 open" state, eight different switching states with only one or two simultaneously closed contacts can be used in the relay group SG to control the signal-dependent relays R4-R7 of the relay group FF differently via the line L4.
The invention is not only applicable to the signal system explained for example. It can also be used for railway systems in which additional signals, e.g. B. speed or track number indicators are provided.
