festigt.

solidifies. This is mounted on the drive shaft 11 and secured against the ingress of water by rubber rings 19. The adjusting tube lower part 18 is rigidly connected to the adjusting tube upper part 20 (FIG. 3) by means of a spacer tube 21.
The adjustment is done as follows:
A strong roller bearing 22 is attached to the upper part 20 of the adjustable tube and serves to absorb the adjustment forces and to set and fix the blade angle. Via this bearing 22, the blade angles are brought to the desired angle setting during the adjustment process by axially displacing the upper adjusting tube part 20, which is connected to the rotatable blades in the manner described above. The conversion of the rotary movement introduced by the adjusting motor 26 or by means of the handwheel 27 (FIG. 4) into an axial displacement of the adjusting tube takes place by an adjusting gear arranged in the lantern, as shown in FIG. 3a.
The rotary movement of the adjusting motor 26 is transmitted to the gear ring 23 via a worm gear 30. This is rotatably but axially immovable in the bearing 25 and provided with an internal thread. The roller bearing 22 is arranged in the externally threaded bearing housing 23a and is axially displaced by the threads in the parts 23 and 23a when the gear ring 23 rotates. The torque resulting during the adjustment process is absorbed by the guide rods 24.
The guide rods 24 are firmly connected to the bearing housing 23a and prevent rotation of the bearing housing 23a by being guided in the gear ring bearing 25 provided with corresponding grooves. The switching rod 28 (FIG. 3) is connected to the guide rods 24 and limits the adjustment path by actuating the limit switches and at the same time is used as a connection element for the blade position indicator 29.
To reduce the overall height of the pump house, the drive shaft 11 can be divided at point 36 (FIG. 5) and coupled by a sleeve coupling 31. For this purpose, the suspension tube 8 is interrupted by a longitudinally divided intermediate piece 32. When expanding, after pulling up the runner, the longitudinally divided. Intermediate piece 32, the longitudinally divided extension piece 33 and the likewise subdivided spacer tube 34 are removed. When the shaft is split, a guide bearing 35 is required, which is arranged below the separation point of the drive shaft 11.
The design according to the invention, whether with a split or undivided drive shaft, has the following advantages over the previous version:
Avoidance of an expensive hollow shaft or slotted hollow and adjusting shafts. By fastening the drive shaft 11 in the hub 14 by means of a feather key 12 and cap nut 13, no flange shaft is necessary and no special one. The control shaft must be stored in the propeller hub.
This results in a better material utilization of the drive shaft; there is no wear on the shaft. The running gear can be pulled out and the adjustment bearing is easily accessible. The direct connection of the adjusting tube via the adjustment bearing to the gear ring avoids levers, bolts and cross parts that are subject to high strength loads.
The adjustment mechanism is filled with oil and the oil level can also be continuously checked during operation.
