Automatic firing pin safety for handguns.
The subject matter of the present invention is an automatic firing pin safety device for handguns, in which a locking bolt which is actuated by an unlocking lever of a known type and which can be shifted in a straight line up and down by hand when the firing pin is released or with a correspondingly low tensioning of the same

thereby at the same time locks the release lever locking the tongue, so that in this latching position both the firing pin and the trigger device are completely secured.
The accompanying drawing illustrates, for example, a Mannlicher repeating rifle designed according to the invention, namely in FIG. 1 with the firing pin lowered into the catch and in FIG. In the ready-to-fire position.
The at a rotatable release lever b is with its front part under the

According to the invention, a nose / 'is provided on the right side of the firing pin nut.
The release lever b is provided with an approach g, which comes to stand behind an approach h of the ziingels in the rest position of the lever (Fig. 1).

This load position shown in Fig. 1 not only secures the firing pin in a perfect way, but also blocks the release lever which is inevitably connected to the catch bolt, which thereby becomes completely rigid and thus also the tongue and the disengagement mechanism, so that an accidental departure from this position also when the rifle is held correctly

EMI2.1
The catch bolt has been pulled completely out of the path of the firing pin.
Of course, in the present exemplary embodiment, this firing pin safety device, which is arranged on a handgun with a straight pull lock, can be used in the same way on rifles with a threatening shot.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Automatic. Firing pin safety device for handguns, characterized by a locking bolt that is positively actuated by an unlocking lever, which can be moved up and down in a straight line, and a lug on the firing pin nut that serves as a catch, with which the locking bolt is released both when the firing pin is released by hand and when it is low , by direct pulling or by means of tensioning caused by the lock comes into engagement and thereby simultaneously the tongue! locking release lever locks so that in this locking position not only the firing pin, but also the trigger device are completely secured,
and, moreover, the firing pin that has bounced out of the tensioning detent can only snap forward into this detent position.
