Pumpenaggregat

Pump unit
The invention relates to a pump unit consisting of two centrifugal pumps, which are housed in a common one-piece or assembled housing with a single inlet and a single outlet, with a flow channel through one of the two pumps between the two individual pumps during operation of the other pump is arranged automatically closing valve.
! Such pump units are already z. B. known from German Patent No. 954757; but they are quite heavy, have to be placed on a base and therefore take up a lot of space. Furthermore, they require a complicated mold for their manufacture.
The invention is based on the object of creating a pump unit that can be easily manufactured as a lightweight unit and installed floating in a pipeline. Another object of the invention is to design the pump assembly in such a way that the individual centrifugal pumps can be exchanged regardless of their direction of rotation.
For this purpose, it is proposed according to the invention that the common housing has pipe connections arranged on the same axis, which are connected to the pump chambers of the two by branch channels
Centrifugal pumps are connected, the axes of the latter lying in planes passing through the axis of the pipe connections and preferably being arranged at right angles to one another.
According to the invention, it is also proposed to form the screw housing of each of the two pumps from a rotationally symmetrical space with a central inlet and a lateral outlet, which is connected to the pipe connections of the housing by a branch channel.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, which is a view, partly in
Section, represents a preferred embodiment of the pump unit according to the invention.
The pump unit consists of a housing 1 designed in the manner of a pipe fitting, which
Includes augers 2 and 3 for two centrifugal pumps 4 and 5. The housing 1 is provided with connection flanges 8 and 9 at its inlet and outlet openings 6 and 7, respectively, in order to be able to be installed floatingly in a pipeline. Each pump unit 4 and 5 consists of a motor housing which can be fastened to the common housing 1 by means of flanges 10 or 11 in order to bring the associated pump impeller 13, fastened freely on the motor shaft 12, into the working position in the worm 2.
The screw housing 2, 3 are set with their axes obliquely to the axis of the housing 1, u. between at right angles to each other. The axes of the screws 2, 3 are preferably in a one passing through the axis of the housing 1. Placed level, but they can also be arranged with good success in two mutually inclined planes, each level going through the axis of the housing 1.
Furthermore, each screw 2, 3 is designed as a rotationally symmetrical space with a central
Inlet 14 and a lateral outlet 15 is provided and is in connection with the inlet 6 and the outlet 7 of the housing 1 through branch channels 16 and 17.
As can be clearly seen from the drawing, the branch channels 16 and 17 together with the
Screw 2 has a generally angled channel which forms a short, technically advantageous flow path and leads to the smallest conceivable fitting.
The pump wheel 13 cooperates with a pipe section 18 which extends away from the bottom of the screw 2 and which is preferably made loose and is fastened in the inlet opening 14 of the screw.
Between the branch channels 17 emanating from the screws 2 and 3, a valve flap 19 is mounted pivotably about an axis located at the tip of the two channels, so that they both

Openings of the branch canals concerned can alternately close. The valve flap 19 acts in such a way that it closes the flow channel through the other pump when one of the centrifugal pumps is in operation and assumes an intermediate position when both pumps are in operation, so that the two pumps can work simultaneously.
The embodiment of the common housing according to the invention makes it possible to introduce the valve flap 19 from the outside through the outlet opening 7 and to hold it in a pivotable manner by the screw 20 serving as a pivot axis.
Finally, it is noted that the invention creates an extremely light twin pump unit that can be installed floating in a pipeline and, due to the symmetrical design of the screw, not only can the shaped piece be significantly reduced, but this also leads to independent interchangeability of the pump units.
