Spinning spindle for a spinning and rewinding machine
EMI1.1
be wound while empty bobbins stuck on the spindles are spun full. Every time the full bobbins have been completely unwound and the bobbins on the spindles have meanwhile been fully spun, the empty and full bobbins are exchanged, whereupon a new cycle begins.
The aim of the invention is to create a spinning spindle with which such a method can be carried out in a simple manner.
According to the invention, the spinning spindle has two coaxial cylindrical sections of the same diameter and approximately the same length, the one section closer to the spindle tip being connected to a whorl and the other section being freely rotatable.
By using spindles of this type, existing spinning machines can be set up by combining them with one or more winding machines to carry out the method described above, with the bobbin changing of a spinning machine set up in this way also being particularly simple.
During spinning, the yarn is wound onto the section of the spindle connected to the whorl, on which a sleeve that is divided in its longitudinal direction has preferably first been attached. When a yarn package has been formed in this way, this is pushed onto the other, freely rotatable section of the spindle, and on the section connected to the whorl an empty sleeve, also divided in its longitudinal direction, whose two halves by means of elastic bands, one Adhesive tape or the like. Are held together, attached. While the section connected to the whorl is fully spun again, the yarn can be drawn off from the freely rotatable section and rewound into larger bobbins. After rewinding, the tube, because it consists of two halves, can be removed from the lower part.
The drawing shows an embodiment of a spindle according to the invention.
The spinning spindle has a central shaft 1 which rests in the usual spinning spindle bearing, not shown in the drawing. This shaft 1 is driven by a belt by means of the belt pulley 2. The cylindrical section 3, which is closer to the spindle tip, is firmly attached to the shaft 1; the other cylindrical portion 4 can rotate freely around the shaft 1 by means of the ball bearings 5 and 6.
During operation, the section 3 connected to the whorl is first fully wound up with the spun yarn; then the yarn package is pushed onto section 4 and a new yarn package is formed on section 3. The yarn now present on section 4 is then unwound from it to form a cheese.
