Electric hammer drill
The invention relates to an electric percussion drill with a conversion mechanism for the percussion tool and a compressor which is permanently installed in the interior of the housing of the device for generating scavenging air.
In a known device of this type, a pump piston that is used to generate the scavenging air in the
Device is arranged, raised by a curve, where it sucks in air from outside the device and then pushes it forward again by a spring together with the hammer, the piston compressing the air and pushing it through the drilling tool there is an intermittent, intermittent air flow that flows in time with the work pulses of the device. No large amounts of air are conveyed, as are necessary for flushing when drilling and hammering. In addition, the scavenging air can only enter the central bore of the drilling tool radially from the outside in the end position of the tool.
The invention is based on the object of creating an electric percussion drill in which a uniform, continuous flow of air with an arbitrarily large amount of air is supplied to the work site by the tool. In this case, air access to the central bore should be possible in every position of the tool and also during the transfer.
In addition, the invention is intended to create an electric percussion drill which, despite these conditions, is light and handy, has very small spatial dimensions and at the same time takes into account all safety regulations such as those prescribed in particular in mining.
According to the invention, the compressor is a compressor provided with rotating blades, the impeller of which is arranged on a shaft driven by the electric motor. The compressor generates an even, continuous flow of air with any amount of air.
The impeller can be driven by a shaft perpendicular to the device's longitudinal axis via a crown wheel. The impeller can also lie with its longitudinal axis on the longitudinal axis of the device
Advantageously, for supplying the compressed scavenging air, the compressor can be connected to the bore of the tool via a channel leading into the interior of the housing with a shut-off control element and recesses provided in the casing of the percussion piston.
The air flow thus hits the face of the striking tool, so that the air can enter the central bore of the tool in any position of the longitudinal movement of the striking tool and also during the transfer. The amount of air blown through can be adjusted by the control element.
With the invention, a device is thus created which accommodates all the necessary parts inside the housing and which is closed off from the outside and is so handy that it can be used for a wide variety of work. A continuous flow of air with any amount of air is supplied to the work site.
The invention is illustrated in one embodiment in the drawings. 1 shows a schematic vertical center section through an electric hammer drill according to the invention and FIG. 2 shows a front view.
1 is the electric motor with the motor shaft 2. The motor shaft 2 carries a bevel gear 4. The bevel gear 4 works together with a ring gear 5, the axis of which is perpendicular to the axis 2 of the electric motor. The drive of the percussion piston 19 and the transfer mechanism takes place around the ring gear 5. At the end of the device, generally designated 6, the tool 17 is arranged. The tool 17 is from the impact

piston 19 acted upon and rotated by a converter. The tool 17 is provided with a bore 18.
The impeller 8 with its blades 9.10 is seated on the shaft 7 of the ring gear 5 and is the compressor housing, which is permanently attached to the housing of the electric motor 1. 11 are air intake openings and 12 is the end cap of the compressor with the cover disk 13.
The electric motor is covered by a protective cap that has air inlet openings.
The compressor 8, 9, 10 is connected to the housing Ili and thus also to the housing 16 via a channel 14, so that the compressed air can be pushed through the interior of the housing 16 to the tool 17. The percussion piston 19 has recesses 20 on its circumference. It is therefore only partially guided on the inner wall of the housing 16. The scavenging air is conducted through the recesses 20 to the bore 18 of the tool 17.
14 ′ is a regulating element in the compressor line 14 that can be switched off.
When operating the device, the compressed air drawn in by the compressor 8, 9, 10 is via the
Channel 14 passed through the device and the interior of the impact tool 17. The electric motor is cooled by sucking in air through an opening in the protective cap.
