Fig. 3 stellt schaubildlich den fertigen Stein gemäss Fig. 2 dar. Fig. 5 ist eine Draufsicht auf eine

united, basic, of the first stone. The stone unit according to the other embodiment is manufactured in such a way that two stones, preferably of the same format, which are each covered on one of their larger side surfaces by a pressed metal plate, which has tabs protruding over the adjoining smaller side surface, with their larger side surfaces, which are not covered by the metal plate, are placed together and then metal plates are applied to the smaller side surfaces of both stones with the tabs, which rest on the tabs, and these metal plates with the tabs,
preferably by welding.
It should be mentioned at this point that refractory bricks which have a metallic outer plate pressed together with the brick material on at least one of their side faces are already known (see e.g. Austrian patent specification No. 201757 and German Auslegeschrift No. 1, 055.165). However, these known stones with an outer plate pressed together with them are stones that are in the form of individual stones and not in the form of a stone unit formed from two stones. Furthermore, the proposal has already been made for the delivery of false ceilings between the individual suspended stones. Insert loose metal spacer plates in the joints, ie metal plates that are independent of the stones (USA Patent No. 2, 840, 017).
With this method of delivery, the spacer plates between each two stones are held in place in the finished ceiling by the pressure of the stones on one another. Finally, a masonry part for industrial ovens has already been described, which is characterized in that it is composed of individual basic stones and metal strips or sheet metal strips placed between these stones, the stones with the help of metal bands, such as steel or iron bands, are clamped together (German Auslegeschrift Ni. 1, 000.953).
In this part of the masonry there are therefore not stone units consisting of two individual stones, but rather a large number of stones are held together by metal bands in such a way that stones are prevented from falling out of the part of the masonry. ! The invention is to be explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, but without being restricted to the embodiments described.
FIG. 1 is a plan view of a blank from which the pressed plate is formed. Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the application of a
U-shaped plate on a stone unit that is designed to be suspended. FIG. 3 is a diagrammatic representation of the finished stone according to FIG. 2. FIG. 4 is a section of a finished stone according to the invention, in which the plate that is pressed together has extensions or inner plates. Fig. 5 is a plan view of a
Stone unit according to the invention, in which each of the stones has a co-pressed outer plate on the larger side surface coming to lie outside in the stone unit, and a metal plate is attached to both of the smaller side surfaces adjacent to the larger side surface with the co-pressed outer plate.
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the stone according to FIG. 5, but the one metal plate on the smaller side surfaces is shown broken away for the purpose of better clarity.
In Fig. 1, a plate 15 is shown, which in the form of a blank or blank with a
Main part 16 is present, which is intended to extend on at least the larger part of a larger side surface of a stone or both stones of the stone unit and protruding parts or
Has flaps 17 which can be conveniently bent up at an angle that is slightly larger than a right angle. Tongues 28 are expediently cut from the main part 16 of the blank.
EMI2.1
Applied bottom stamp of a press mold, the tabs 17 of the plate and their tongues 28 extending upward.
As is also known per se, the main part 16 of the plate 15, which, so to speak, represents the base of a U, is expediently narrower than the compression mold. and the upper ends of the tabs 17 rest resiliently against the side walls of the die. A suitable basic, refractory material, such as magnesia, chrome magnesite or magnesite chrome, is then introduced into the press mold and the refractory material is pressed with the plate 15 by moving the upper punch of the press mold relative to the lower punch to form the stone.
The finished stone obtained in this way, which corresponds to stone 1 shown in FIG. 2 and also to stones 1 and 1 'from FIGS. 5 and 6, accordingly has a larger side surface covered by the co-pressed outer plate 15 or its base part 16 8 and two subsequent smaller side surfaces 5 and 6 covered by the tabs 17 of the plate 15. The two end faces 3 and 4 and the second larger side face 7 of the stone 1 are free of metal. On the larger side surface 7 of this first
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The second stone 2 rests with its larger side surface 14 on the stone. The second larger side surface 13 of the stone 2 as such; like the two smaller side surfaces 11 and 12 and the two end surfaces 9 and 10, is not provided with metal plates.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, however, the second larger side surface 14, which rests against the stone 1, is also partly covered by a plate 25 with tongues 26 that is pressed together with it. On the two stones 1 and 2, a U-shaped metal plate 18 with a base 19 and two legs 20 and 21 is applied in such a way that the base 19 rests on the larger outer side surface 13 of the second stone and the legs 20 or 21 rest on the smaller side surfaces 11 and 5 or 12 and 6 of both stones so that they can be connected to the tabs 17. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the stone unit is shown as a suspended stone unit with a hanger 22, the hanger head 23 of which engages in a hanging recess 24 of both stones.
However, the type of suspension is of secondary importance in the present context, and it can be used as hanging stones. B. lug blocks can also be used.
According to the form of a stone unit shown in FIG. 4, the main part 16 of the plate 15, which has the tabs 17, can also have extensions or inner plates 27, in a slight modification from the view shown in FIG.
5 and 6 relate to the embodiment in which both stones 1, 1 * of the stone unit are of the same type and on their larger outer side surfaces 8 and 13 'are supported by a pressed metal plate 15 or 15' with a main part 16 or 16 'and flaps 17 and 17' are covered.
These two stones 1 and 1 'lie against one another with their larger side surfaces 7 and 14', which are not covered by the pressed metal plate 15 or 15 ', and their connection to the stone unit is made on the smaller side surfaces 5, 6 and 11, respectively ', 12' applied metal plates 29 and 30, which are connected to the tabs 17 and 17 'of the co-pressed plates 15 and 15'.
