Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine (1) mit einem Einlaßsystem (2) und einem Auslaßsystem (3), in welchem zumindest ein erster Abgaskatalysator (5) angeordnet ist, sowie mit einem Abgasrückführsystem (4), wobei zur externen Abgasrückführung stromabwärts des ersten Abgaskatalysators (5) eine Abgasrückführleitung (4a) vom Auslaßsystem (3) abzweigt und in das Einlaßsystem (2) mündet. Um die Emissionen weiter abzusenken, ist vorgesehen, daß dem ersten Abgaskatalysator (5) ein durch einen Speicherkatalysator gebildeter zweiter Abgaskatalysator (6) nachgeschaltet ist, wobei die Abgasrückführleitung (4a) stromaufwärts des zweiten Abgaskatalysators (6) vom Auslaßsystem (3) abzweigt.
