Winding device, especially for strands of yarn
The invention relates to a winding device, in particular for skeins of yarn, with an arm rotatable about a stationary pin and connected to a drive wheel, on which the winding mandrel is mounted eccentrically to form balls and has a drive pulley engaged with the free end of the stationary pin.
In a known device of this type for winding balls of strands, a winding mandrel carried by a drive pulley is arranged rotatably around a vertical pin at an oblique angle to the vertical axis of rotation. A ball bobbin provided with a drive gear can be rotated onto this winding mandrel, the gear wheel of the ball bobbin engaging in a fixed pinion on the pin, in whose teeth it rolls when the drive pulley rotates and thus sets the ball bobbin in rotation, which at the same time revolves around the vertical pin and wraps the thread into a ball. With these devices it is only possible to achieve coil windings, but not coil windings.
The invention creates a winding device which makes it possible to selectively produce ball or coil windings of any type. The device according to the invention is characterized in that an easily releasable coupling, e.g. B. a socket connected to the drive wheel, on which the arm can be placed, is provided, and that when the arm is removed, the spool body or spool with the corresponding coupling parts can be pushed onto the pin or the socket. This device has a wider range of application than the known winding devices; it is also characterized by the greatest structural simplicity and therefore operational reliability and low production costs.
A device according to the invention is particularly simple if the socket is designed as a square and the coil body or mandrel has a central hole corresponding to this in the coupling part.
According to a further feature of the invention, the pin is also roughened at its free end in an advantageous manner, for. B. corrugated or knurled, and the cooperating with this end part of the drive pulley is designed as a friction wheel optionally provided with a friction lining.
Further details and advantages of the invention are explained with reference to the drawings, in which an exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention with an attached ball bobbin is shown in longitudinal section in FIG. FIGS. 2 and 3 show push-on sockets for tapered or disc coils in longitudinal section. FIGS. 4 and 5 show a detail in elevation and plan.
The pivot 3 is fixedly arranged on a frame 1, for example a clamp that can be screwed onto a table top 2 or the like, and a thread guide 4 is fixed in a known manner. On the pivot 3, which has a corrugation 5 or a knurling or other roughening at its free end, a pinion 6 which is non-rotatably connected to a socket 6 ′ as a coupling or which consists of one piece with it is rotatably mounted. This pinion 6, in the illustrated embodiment, a bevel pinion, and

the push-on sockets 10 (Fig. 1) or 10 '(Fig. 2) or 10 "(Fig. 3) with central hole 13 are placed.
The square design of the socket 6 'can be seen particularly clearly in FIGS. 4 and 5.
To achieve a coil winding z. B. a cone coil 9 '(Fig. 2) or a disc coil 9 "(Fig. 3) with its coil carrier 15' or 15" placed on the socket 6 'and then executes a rotational movement about the pivot axis when the pinion 6 rotates, which in this case coincides with the coil axis.
The bobbin carriers 15 ', 15 "can be omitted if the bobbin sleeves 9', 9" themselves have plug-on holes formed in accordance with the socket 6 '.
The device according to FIG. 1 is required for ball winding. The pivot pin and the spool axis do not coincide, but are inclined towards each other, so that the rotation of the spool axis is accompanied by an orbital movement of the spool around the pivot pin axis. This revolving movement can expediently be brought about by frictional engagement between the stationary pivot pin 3 and the ball bobbin 9 ′. In the illustrated embodiment, the pivot 3 is provided with a corrugation 5 at its free end, and the ball spool 9 carried by the arm 12 fastened on the winding carrier 15 and rotatable on this is over the friction disk 14 which is in frictional engagement with this corrugation 5, which has a friction lining 11 has, additionally set in rotation about its own axis.
Modifications to the described embodiments are possible within the scope of the invention; In particular, instead of a square, any other rotationally locking coupling between the pinion and the winding body can be provided.
