Tray for working with small parts, especially for
Watchmaking
The usual work tablets, which are used for work with small parts, for example for watchmaking, have the disadvantage that there is no suitable protection against the parts rolling away or splashing away if they are carelessly handled with tweezers. The parts then mostly fall under the workbench; an unpleasant, often time-consuming search is the result, quite apart from the fact that the parts can be trodden on or can no longer be found. If this is prevented by a raised edge attached to the work tray, then this, even if it is made low, is very annoying when working because it inhibits the hand and presses pain on the forearm.
In addition, the usual tablets made of glass, metal, wood, etc. The like. With or without a border, usually also very inexpedient. Glass plates are fragile and reflective, metal plates impair the feeling of warmth, wood and similar materials almost never lie flat unless it is used in considerable strength; too high a base: but it is uncomfortable and annoying for almost all work.
The tray produced according to the invention eliminates all of these deficiencies. A plastic plate, e.g. B. hard fiber with an attached plastic layer that is resistant to chemical and mechanical influences is used. So that the relatively thin plate remains flat, a groove is milled around the work surface near the edge of the plate; the tray is largely tension-free. The groove also serves to accommodate a raised edge strip made of soft, elastic material, preferably foam rubber. The foam rubber strip adapts to every position of the hand and can be pressed together with little pressure so that it forms a level with your work surface. It can therefore be excessively high.
Such a delimitation bar prevents any working parts from rolling and also catches them when they splash away, the hand is not inhibited, nor does the bar cause an annoying feeling of pressure.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a section through the tray according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a plan view on a smaller scale. 1 with the two-layer base plate of the tray is referred to. In a groove of this base plate 1, a compressible, elastic strip 2 made of foam rubber is attached.
