EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Regulator for heating devices of all kinds, for example oil stoves, to keep the amount of combustion air constant regardless of the
Chimney draft
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A regulator according to the invention leads to a very small design with a large air line, because large air inlet areas are available in the various walls of the housing. The small dimensions also result in the advantage of cheap production. The particular simplicity lies in the fact that the pendulum-mounted flap serves both to measure the chimney draft and to adjust the fresh air inlet. The arrangement of the air inlet openings in the housing walls results in the advantage that the incoming combustion air flows in parallel or approximately parallel to the flap, which has a favorable effect on the operation of the regulator.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, u. FIG. 1 shows the controller in a vertical sectional view, while FIG. 2 shows the controller viewed from below. The housing 1 is od on the wall 2 of a heater. The like. Attached at a suitable point. An opening 3 in the wall 2 gives way to the burner or grate of the device. In the housing 1, a flap 5 is suspended pendulum on the axis 4. A counterweight 6 gives it the strongly extended zero position.
Since the housing 1 is open to the left, the flap 5 is affected by the negative pressure of the chimney. Depending on the strength of the latter, the flap will deflect to the right at a more or less large angle. It is guided with its edges along the openings 7 and 8, which are provided in the side walls 9 and the lower cylindrical wall 10 for the purpose of the passage of the combustion air. Depending on the size of the negative pressure, the position of the pendulum flap 5 is such that an entire air inlet surface is effective, which allows the previously determined amount of air to pass through. The passage openings 7 and 8 are designed so that the amount of air in a certain draft area remains constant regardless of the chimney draft.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Regulator for heating devices of all kinds, for example oil stoves, to keep the amount of combustion air constant regardless of the chimney draft, consisting of a flap suspended swinging in a housing, which is under the effect of the negative pressure on the chimney and, depending on its position, a larger or smaller inlet cross section for leaves the combustion air free, characterized in that the housing (1) surrounds the flap (5) practically closed in all positions on its circumference and the inlet opening (3) for the combustion air is provided exclusively in the housing wall (2), such that the flap (5) closes this opening (3) increasingly from the burner or grate of the device with increasing adjustment angle.
