Der endlose Umlauf erfolgt hier also in einfachster Form in horizontaler Ebene, u. zw. kreisringförmig.

Device for loading several cigarette machines with cut tobacco
The invention relates to a device for loading a number of cigarette machines with cut tobacco, in which the tobacco is taken from a supply and is fed to a number of feed points from which it is conveyed to the individual cigarette machines. In such a method, it is known to form a tobacco fleece prior to the delivery of the tobacco to the various feed points in order to ensure a uniform delivery and thus a uniform, e.g.
B. to ensure pneumatic loading of the cigarette machines with tobacco, with the tobacco removed from the supply to a number
EMI1.1
Tobacco that collects in the area of the feed points for this machine is known to be distributed to the feed points for the other machines, or an accumulation of the tobacco is prevented by returning it to the supply. It is also already known to interrupt the tobacco feed to the individual cigarette machines by means of individually stopable paths assigned to each cigarette machine.
These and other proposals require a considerable amount of equipment and space.
According to the invention, a simplified device for loading several cigarette machines with cut tobacco is proposed, in which a fleece is formed from tobacco taken from a supply and this is fed to a number of feed points via a distributor and from there z. B. is pneumatically conveyed to the individual cigarette machines, the main feature of this device is that a rotating, circular turntable is provided as a distributor, in the center of which a conical guide surface is arranged, over the tip of which the delivery point of the tobacco feeder and around in The area of the turntable opening suction nozzles are provided for the individual cigarette machines.
The endless circulation takes place here in the simplest form in the horizontal plane, u. between circular.
According to a further feature of the invention, the suction ends of the suction nozzles are advantageously shoe-shaped in such a way that the part facing the tobacco flow extends in a wedge shape, the wall of the shoe opposite the projection can be folded outwards and one or both side walls of the shoe are inclined inwards.
In order to achieve a perfect tobacco supply, a scanning device for the height of the tobacco fleece is also provided, by means of which the tobacco supply can be controlled, this scanning device being formed by a photocell arranged in the area of an illuminated zone of the tobacco vite, the current of which via an amplifier is a regulating motor for the Controls funding of tobacco supply.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. 1 shows a view of the device from the side, FIG. 2 shows a top view thereof, FIG. 3 shows the suction end of a suction nozzle in side view, FIG. 4 seen from above and FIG. 5 from the rear.
The device consists essentially of a turntable 1, which rests on a frame and la

becomes. Above suction nozzle 4. A delimiting wall Ic is arranged around table top Ib, which, together with the peripheral surfaces of charging cone 2, forms an annular channel ld.
In the tobacco feeder 3, the tobacco is loosened by spiked rollers 3a and 3b and released downwards by the associated beater rollers 3c and 3d. The spiked roller 3a and 3b and the beater roller 3c and 3d are driven by a common drive motor 12 via belt drive 13 and gear wheels associated with each roller, the transmission being selected so that the peripheral speed of the beater rollers 3c and 3d is greater than that in a known manner of the spiked rollers 3a and 3b. The tobacco is dispensed downwards by means of the beater rollers 3c and 3d in such a way that the tobacco falls onto the tip of the feed cone 2.
The tobacco then slides down on all sides on the inclined peripheral surfaces of the revolving feed cone 2 and is conveyed into the annular channel Id by falling and centrifugal force. There is also a scanning device known per se which, by controlling the supply, maintains the desired tobacco fleece height in the channel Id. In the present case, this is done by controlling the additive (not shown).
The suction nozzles 4 arranged above the table top 1b in the channel Id for the individual cigarette machines now suck in from the endlessly rotating tobacco fleece running through their area
EMI2.2
The loading flap 5 seen is open during the conveyance and, controlled by the machine, is closed when it no longer needs tobacco. -
The suction ends of the suction stubs 4 are, as shown in FIG. 3, shoe-like. The part 4a of the shoe facing the opposite direction to the tobacco flow is wedge-shaped, so that the tobacco which does not pass between the shoe and the turntable bottom is diverted laterally.
The distance between the bottom of the turntable 1 and the lower edge 4b of the shoe is dimensioned so that the height of the fleece fed corresponds to the amount that the suction nozzles 4 are able to suck off. The rear wall 4c facing the part 4a of the shoe can be pivoted in the pointer direction in order to prevent any clumps from causing an accumulation of tobacco and clogging of the suction nozzle. If such lumps develop, the valve 4c opens and the lumps can emerge to the rear. The suction cross-section, which is formed by the lower edges of the shoe, is dimensioned by the inwardly inclined arrangement of one or both side walls 4d of the shoe so that a sufficient suction effect is present.
The tobacco supply is controlled as follows:
A photocell 6 scans the occupancy of the channel Id of the turntable 1, which is illuminated by a lamp 7 in the scanning area. The photocell current controls via an amplifier 8 a control

garette machine be done directly or indirectly. A control method known per se is used here, in which a voltage is applied to the control circuit for the regulating motor 9 when tobacco is removed through the intake port 4. If several machines are loaded at the same time, the voltages associated with each machine are connected in series. The sum of the resulting control voltage now corresponds to the voltage which is required to impart a speed to the base belt 3f which corresponds to a tobacco supply corresponding to the tobacco purchase.
