Device for flow protection in the case of fresh air supply and exhaust gas discharge pipes of gas devices that open into the open
EMI1.1
Gas appliances often use the fresh air supply pipe, which is the case, for example, with external wall heating stoves. With such an arrangement, however, securing the flow presents significant difficulties. The different pressure conditions and wind directions prevailing in the open air must be taken into account, and in unfavorable weather conditions it can happen that the exhaust gases escape tightly into the open air or that they get through the fresh air supply. be sucked in again.
In order to create corresponding pressure conditions at the mouths of the fresh air supply pipe and the exhaust gas discharge pipe, it has already been proposed to cover these mouths with a grate or a grille, the passage cross-sections in the area of the fresh air supply pipe and in the area of the exhaust gas discharge pipe being different. However, even this cannot yet achieve sufficient success. It has already been suggested that the exhaust gas

with regard to the preheating of the combustion air, however, this alone cannot secure the flow.
A device for securing the flow of fresh air supply and exhaust gas discharge pipes of gas devices which are concentrically arranged one inside the other and open into the open air has also become known, in which the exhaust gas discharge pipe arranged inside the fresh air supply pipe projects beyond the fresh air supply pipe. However, even with such a design, as has been shown, there is a risk that, in the case of unfavorable air conditions, the exhaust gases emerging from the inner pipe will be sucked in by the fresh air supply pipe, which can lead to serious disturbances.
The present invention eliminates these shortcomings in that the fresh air supply pipe is shielded by a ring which is arranged at a distance from its mouth and surrounds the exhaust gas discharge pipe at its mouth, and the space between the ring and the mouth of the fresh air supply pipe is bridged by a perforated pipe socket The exhaust gas discharge pipe being shielded by a known cover plate of larger diameter, which is arranged at a distance from its mouth.
In this way, on the one hand, the mouth of the fresh air supply pipe is separated from the mouth of the exhaust gas discharge pipe so far that the exhaust gases are sucked in
EMI1.3
The ring shielding the fresh air supply pipe avoids direct suction of exhaust gases through the fresh air supply pipe and the fact that this fresh air supply pipe is covered in the upper third prevents the exhaust gases emerging from the exhaust gas discharge pipe and flowing upwards due to their temperature from being sucked back.
In an embodiment in which at least one ring is arranged concentrically between the mouth of the exhaust gas discharge pipe and the cover plate, the outer diameter of which corresponds approximately to the outer diameter of the cover plate, the ring expediently has guide or deflection surfaces.
In this way, a good flow guidance and also a simple type of grating is achieved, which only slightly affects the outlet cross-section. The arrangement can also be made

that the perforated pipe socket projects beyond the mouth of the exhaust gas discharge pipe and carries the cover plate at its end. In the context of the invention, the cover plate covering the exhaust pipe can be curved convexly or concavely, but it is also possible to make this plate flat.
In the drawing, the invention is illustrated schematically on the basis of exemplary embodiments.
1 and 2 show the exhaust gas discharge and the fresh air supply from and to an outer wall heating element, FIG. 1 showing a section along line I-I in FIG. 2 and FIG. 2 showing a section along line II-U in FIG. 3 and 4 show a modified embodiment, FIG. 3 again showing a longitudinal
EMI2.1
4Fig. 5, 6 and 7 show another modified embodiment, FIG. 5 being an axial section along line VV in FIG. 6 and FIG. 6 being a section along line VI-VI in FIG. 5 and FIG. 7 being a view in the direction of arrow VU 5 represents.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 represents the wall heating element in which the burner 2 is arranged. The heating furnace is hermetically sealed from the interior 3 to be heated. The fresh air supply pipe 4 protrudes through the wall 5 into the open, and inside the fresh air supply pipe 4, the exhaust gas discharge pipe 6 is arranged concentrically. The directions of flow are indicated by arrows.
The mouth 7 of the exhaust gas discharge pipe now protrudes substantially over the mouth 8 of the fresh air supply pipe 4. The mouth 7 of the exhaust gas discharge tube is covered by a concave cover plate 9 with a larger diameter than the exhaust gas discharge pipe 6. This cover plate 9 is arranged at a distance from the mouth 7 of the exhaust gas discharge pipe, and one or more concentric rings 10, which can have guide surfaces 11, are arranged between the cover plate 9 and the mouth 7. 12 shows brackets with which the cover plate 9 and the ring 10 are attached to the exhaust gas discharge tube 6. The mouth 8 of the air supply tube 4 is covered by a ring 13 which is arranged in the region of the mouth 7 of the exhaust gas discharge pipe 6.
The distance between the mouth 8 and the ring 13 is bridged by a perforated sheet metal nozzle or a grid 14. This ring 13 now prevents exhaust gases from being drawn in directly from the mouth 8 of the exhaust gas discharge pipe. In the upper third, this perforated pipe socket is now covered by a sheet metal 15, so that the risk of the hot exhaust gases rising upwards being sucked back into the fresh air supply pipe 4 is also avoided. 16 represents brackets.
The arrangement according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from the arrangement according to FIG. 1 and 2 only in that the cover plate 9 'is curved convexly here. In this embodiment, several rings 10 ′ are arranged which now have deflecting surfaces 11 on their other side.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 differs from the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the perforated connector 17 is pulled over the mouth of the exhaust gas discharge pipe 6 and at its end directly carries the cover plate 9 ″, which contributes This exemplary embodiment is now flat .. The rings 10 and 10 'are therefore omitted. As FIG. 7 shows, the upper part of the cover plate is now designed with perforations 18 so that some of the exhaust gases can also exit axially.
