Der Gehalt des Nickels im reinen Nickeloxyd ist 78, 6%, und die Prüfung des Produktes ergab, dass kein freies Metall in diesem Nickeloxyd enthalten ist, und dass sein Nickelgehalt zwischen 78, 3 und   78, 6%   gelegen ist. Das aus einer Mischung von   50%   Nickel und   50%   Nickeloxyd hergestellte Pulver zeigte z.

   Zur Herstellung von Ferriten soll die durchschnittliche Teilchengrösse klein sein ; z. B. in der Grössenordnung von   l   bis   12   Mikron. Für diesen Zweck soll das   erfindungsgemäss   hergestellte Oxyd stark gemahlen und gesiebt werden, um alle gröberen Teilchen auszuscheiden. Da es wünschenswert ist, eine Verunreinigung des   erfindungsgemäss   hergestellten Oxydes mit Eisen zu verhindern, sollen zu dessen Vermahlung vorteilhaft Porzellantiegel und Steatitkugeln verwendet werden. 



   Bei Ausführung der Erfindung ist es erforderlich, zuerst reines Nickeloxyd durch fortlaufendes Rösten und darauffolgendes Vermahlen   von Nickelpulver herzustellen. Das Verfahren kann fortlaufend im Ofen durchgeführt werden.
