Ballpoint pen with push mechanism
The invention relates to a ballpoint pen with a push mechanism, that is to say to a writing implement in which the ballpoint pen refill alternates by actuating a pressure pin
EMI1.1
Housing is advanced and withdrawn into the housing under the action of the return spring. The previous' ballpoint pens of this type have the deficiency that the lead is held rigidly or relentlessly supported in the writing position, so that accordingly the elasticity that characterizes a screaming is lacking when writing. The consequence of this is that the hand becomes tired more quickly, especially if the copy process is to be used.
Although a ballpoint pen with a push mechanism and a support spring arranged between the pressure pen and the ballpoint pen refill and designed to be stronger than the refill spring is known, this ballpoint pen has no better writing properties either, since the refill has a locking hook in its writing position independent of the push pen is held, which probably springs radially, but acts practically as a rigid support in the axial direction of the mine. The only purpose of the support spring is to allow a relative displacement between the mine and the pressure pin in order to be able to work with the latter. to be able to press the locking hook radially outward to release the mine.
The pencil lead is guided in a bore of the pressure pin, in which the support spring is also placed, and engages with a radial pin in a longitudinal slot of the pressure pin, so that its axial movement is limited. Furthermore, an embodiment of a ballpoint pen has become known in which an axially resilient ring is positioned between the pressure pin and a piston-like part connected to the pencil lead.
EMI1.2
there is no resilient support of the writing lead.
The aim of the invention is to create a ballpoint pen with a push mechanism that is similarly elastic as a conventional pen. The invention is based on a ballpoint pen with pressure mechanism and with a support spring arranged between the pressure pin and the ballpoint pen refill, which is stronger than the refill spring and consists in that the support spring is inserted into a screw-in sleeve known per se, into which the on one side the rear end of the ballpoint pen refill, but on the other side a part of the pressure pin and the device for its locking protrudes.
In the case of such a mechanism, the pressure pin is locked for itself, and the writing lead is supported on the locked pressure pin in its writing position, but this is done through the interconnection. the compression spring is now an elastically flexible support so that the ballpoint pen has properties similar to those of a conventional pen. Premature hand fatigue is avoided and even hair and shadow lines or the line reinforcements required in shorthand can be achieved. Since the support spring is designed to be stronger than the return spring of the ballpoint pen refill, the printing mechanism is not impaired or the forward movement. the ballpoint pen refill not bothered.
Another advantage of the invention can be seen in the fact that the screw-in sleeve with its locking device for the pressure pin does not need to be modified and it is only necessary to insert the support spring into the sleeve bore before the sleeve is screwed into the pen housing.
In the drawing, a ballpoint pen according to the invention is shown in section as an example.
The housing of the ballpoint pen is denoted by 1, into which a sleeve 2 of a printing mechanism is screwed at the top. The ballpoint pen refill 3 is accommodated in the housing 1, which is under the action of a return spring 4 and is mounted with its upper end in the bore 5 of the screw-in sleeve 2. The screw-in sleeve 2 receives the pressure pin 6 and a device, not shown, for locking it in two positions. The pressure pin 6 does not act directly, but rather via a support spring 7 inserted in the bore 5 between the end faces of the pressure pin and the ballpoint pen; it is supported

So the mine 3 is not rigid in its writing position, but rather via the spring 7 on the pressure pin 6.
The force of the return spring 4 is less than that of the support spring 7, so that the lead 3 is pushed out of the housing 1 by pressing the pressure pin without compressing the spring 7.
