Stiffening for shoe soles
The invention relates to a stiffener for shoe soles, in which the outsole with the heel is manufactured in one piece by vulcanizing, casting or pressing, and essentially consists in the fact that it is completely embedded in the material of the sole, one to under the heel Reaching, preformed hinge plate and a heel support are provided and that the hinge plate and the heel support are rigidly connected to one another.
Shoe soles with the stiffening according to the invention are extremely durable due to the non-detachable connection between the sole and the heel. The insert, consisting of a hinge plate and a heel support, gives the sole and the heel a sure-footed stiffening that is extremely elastic. The stiffening of the heel by the heel support is particularly advantageous if the heel has a tall and slender shape. Natural or synthetic rubber and plastic can be used as the material for the sole. The production of the sole using the vulcanization, casting or pressing process, since only one work step is necessary, is extremely economical, in addition to which the same joint plates can be used for the various last shapes.
Further features of the invention are described with reference to the drawing in which the sole is shown for example. FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the sole, FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line II-II in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows a view from below of the joint plate with the heel support.
The sole 1 and the paragraph 2 in Fig. 1 are made of one piece, for. B. manufactured by pressing in a mold. The preformed joint plate 3, which extends below the heel and to which the heel support 4, which is made of a tube in a known manner, is welded, is inserted into the mold before pressing and pressed into the sole and into the heel. To anchor the hinge plate in the sole, several openings 5 are provided in this, if necessary on both sides of the heel support (FIG. 3). As FIG. 2 shows, in the joint sole part the sole layer below the joint plate is advantageously dimensioned to be thicker than that above the joint plate. This reinforcement prevents the lower sole layer from penetrating or tearing off due to the stress on the joint plate.
The heel support 4 also has an internal thread 6 at its lower end, into which the fastening screw 7 for the step plate 8 can be screwed.
