Dimensionally stable magnet system
With moving coil measuring mechanisms, an unchangeable magnetic field in the air gap is of fundamental importance for the accuracy of the instrument. In addition to maximum temporal constancy of the magnetic materials used, the requirement for maximum mechanical dimensional stability of the magnet system and, in particular, that of the effective air gap must therefore also be made.
In the designs that have become known up to now, this requirement is met either by brazed brass bars between the pole pieces (ATM J 721-2 July 1951) or by pouring non-ferrous metals into the openings between the pole piece horns and the magnet yoke.
According to the present invention, the form-fit between the pole pieces and the magnet yoke is preferably achieved in that both pole pieces and the yoke parts are constructed from layered iron stampings. According to the invention, these stamped iron parts are layered in such a way that disks made of non-ferrous metal are placed between the pole shoe horns and the yoke parts, partially overlapping. This creates a tooth system which, especially after the stamped parts and discs have been bonded with a hardenable plastic, combines excellent strength and dimensional stability with ease of manufacture.
In FIG. 1, 1 is the yoke part of a double magnet system, 2 and 2 'are the pole shoes, 3 is a connecting part with a small shape, 4 is a connecting part with a large shape, and 5 and 5' are the two magnets. The two different sizes of the connecting parts are alternately layered in corresponding recesses in the pole pieces and yoke parts, the area required for a sufficient adhesive connection being achieved by the overlapping of the connecting parts and the pole piece or yoke part.
Fig. 2 shows a section along the line 1- left. There are 1 the yoke part, 3 the corresponding connection part and 6 a yoke part with the recess corresponding to the connection part 4.
