Federnder Sitz.

Spring seat.
The present invention relates to a resilient seat in which one or both ends of the metal strips carrying the upholstery are connected to the seat frame by a tension spring in order to increase the elasticity of the seat.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a top view of such a seat with the upholstery removed and FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line a-b in FIG. 1.
The seat frame 1 made in any known way is covered with iron straps 2 crosswise, the latter alternately fixed with their ends on the seat frame 1 rigidly attached to the seat frame 1 respectively. 3. soft are mounted sunk in recesses 4 of the seat frame 1, are connected in an articulated manner to tension springs. The tension springs 3 can be pushed onto the ends of the straps 2. The alternating arrangement of the springs 3 results in an even springing of the entire seat. In order to achieve a particularly strong springing of the seat, the known coil springs 5 can also be attached at the crossing points of the straps 2, via which the upholstery and the seat cover are only then tensioned.
Instead of only fastening one end of the iron straps 2 to the seat frame by means of helical springs 3, this can also be done at both ends.
