Durch nachbeschriebenes Verfahren kann man einen Grundstoff auf einfache Weise mit Gobelinmustern versehon ; man erreicht dadurch, dass die Muster wie auf dem Grund- stoff aufgesteckt, erscheinen.
Auf der Zeichnung ist in Fig. 1 ein auf dem Grundstoff befestigtes Gobelinmuster in Ansicht veranschaulicht, Fig. 2 zeigt im Querschnitte, wie das Muster auf dejl Grund- stoff sitzt und in Fig. 3 ist das noch nicht befestigte Muster in Ansicht gezeichnet.
Man webt die Gobelinmuster so, dass'sie für sich begrenzt, also ohne von einem
Untergrund umgeben zu sein, ein matt, eine Ranke oder dgl. bilden und lässt, wie in
Fig. 3 veranschaulicht, die Kettenfäden a über den Rand der Muster b frei hervorragen.
Hierauf bringt man ein Muster an diejenige Stelle des Urundstoffes, au der es befestigt werden soll und heftet es, wenn nötig, mit Stecknadeln an. den Grundstoff an. Nunmehr zieht man unter Verwendung geeigneter Haken oder Nadeln die freien Kettenfäden a durch den Grundstoff c hindurch und verknüpft je zwei nebeneinander liegende Ketten- faden a auf der Ruckseite dos Stoffes, wie in Fig. 2 dargestellt. Das Muster sitzt auf diese Weise fest auf dem Grundstoff und erscheint hier wie aufgestickt.
