Claims

PATENT CLAIMS: 1. A device for shutting off the carbide supply in acetylene generators with a carbide supply piston seated on an expandable bellows, characterized in that one arm 24 of an angle lever engages the end of the rod 9 of the carbide supply piston exiting through the bellows 4 above and lifts the bellows when against the other arm 28 a pressure is exerted from the outside (by spindle 29), wherein the angle lever can simultaneously serve to lift the bellows and to close the gas line leading to the burner.

2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that one arm 23 of the angle lever is actuated by the spindle 29 of the valve 26, which closes the gas line leading to the burner (Fig. 2-6).

3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that a thumb 28 is arranged on the valve spindle 29, against the surface of which the arm 23 of the angle lever actuating the bellows 4 rests.

4. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the thumb 28 sits on a loose sleeve 27 of the valve spindle 29 and, when the sleeve is rotated, takes the spindle 29 with it through a stop 31.
