Pressed material or pouring material komirnutato
The invention relates to molded material commutators or pourable material commutators which are provided with metallic reinforcement rings arranged in recesses in the segments in order to increase their resistance to centrifugal force. The reinforcement rings used are either completely bare rings or rings that are insulated on all sides, or those that are only provided with an insulating coating at a few points on the circumference to allow the molding compound to enter the recesses provided for the rings.
The design with completely bare rings requires special precautions in order to keep the rings at the necessary distances from the lamellas when the molding compound is introduced.
This is z. B. achieved by supporting the rings on the excellent over the profile of the lamellae insulating slats. In the case of rings that are insulated on all sides, special centerings in the cutouts of the segments are probably not required, since the ring's own insulation essentially completely fills the lamella cutout. However, there is no space for the penetrating molding compound either.
The design with rings centered only at a few circumferential points is guided by the idea that the molding compound should engage as far as possible in the recesses of the
Enable segments. However, experiments and studies have been carried out with such
Reinforcing rings provided commutators shown that by the finishing press. The high pressure that occurs only on some
Reinforcing rings held at the centering points can sometimes be deformed to such an extent that they come into contact with the lamellae, that is to say a body contact occurs.
The invention relates to an embodiment that while largely maintaining the
Advantages of the known constructions
Avoids disadvantages essentially. The invention consists in that the reinforcement rings are provided with a bead of insulating material which only partially encompasses their cross section, preferably only on the side that protrudes furthest into the segment recesses in the circumferential direction.
1 shows a commutator with cutouts on the face side in the lamellas, FIG. 2 shows a commutator with cutouts on the hub side for inserting the reinforcing rings.
2 and 3 are the recesses in the segments for receiving the reinforcement rings 4. According to the invention, most of their surface is blank and the end face protruding farthest into the recesses is pressed around with an insulating layer 5 that runs through in the circumferential direction Hold the beads of insulating material on the ring useful because I have roughening, notches, etc. like improved r ..
The reinforcement ring according to the invention has the advantage over rings without centered self-isolation that it can be easily centered, compared with iso 'on all sides. erten rings have the advantage of a reliable connection with the
Commutator molding compound and compared to rings, the insulation of which is only provided at some circumferential points, the advantage that by the
Finishing the commutator occurring
Pressure, no deformation of the reinforcement rings and therefore no contact between them and the lamellas can occur.
