in verschiedenen Ebenen, z. B. in zwei senkrechten Ebenen, anzuordnen.

Terminal piece for connecting the current lead to electrical collectors.
The present invention relates to a clamping piece for connecting the current lead to electrical collectors, in particular in vehicles.
As the drawing shows in one embodiment, u. Between Fig. 1 in side view and Fig. 2 and 3 in section according to AB, the clamping piece according to the invention has two threaded, perpendicular legs 81 and 82 for the optional reception of the cable k and the clamping screw r, by means of which the Cable is clamped. As can also be seen from the drawing, the legs Si and 82 protrude into bores bai

to arrange the holes b1 and b2 in the walls of the battery container itself. The bores can also be made partly in the cover and partly in the container wall. According to the invention, both legs Si and 82 are provided with threads for receiving the clamping screw r in order to be able to insert and clamp the cable k in one or the other leg, as can be seen from FIGS. The clamping piece according to the invention is attached in the usual way to the end pole bolt p of the battery by means of soldering or screwing.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the fastening of the clamping piece is achieved by means of a lug l provided with holes.
Although there are already known terminals for connecting the current lead to electrical collectors, they only have a single leg for receiving the cable. In this case, the clamping screw is passed vertically through the wall of this leg without this single leg having a vertical tubular extension.
The clamping piece according to the invention differs therefrom fundamentally in that it has two legs that are perpendicular to one another. This has the advantage of being able to connect the cable k in different directions. The fact that the handles do not protrude beyond the outer surface of the battery container or the lid avoids any risk of a short shot. It is particularly advantageous that the cable k can be connected or disconnected without the lid d of the battery container must be removed.
Especially with batteries for motor vehicles, such as. B. for motorcycles, this is of great importance, since such batteries are fastened by means of a clamping strap reaching over the cover, which does not need to be removed due to the present invention when connecting or removing the cable. This advantage is achieved without the use of any metal parts protruding from the battery container, as has already been pointed out above.
In the previously known arrangements, on the other hand, the terminal leads themselves were led through two opposite side walls, so that the battery cover had to be removed each time the cable was connected or removed. In addition, the known arrangement did not have the advantage of being able to optionally insert the cables or the clamping screw into all four side walls of the battery container. In addition, the clamping piece according to the present invention differs in a completely progressive manner from all previously known cable connections in which

Another advantage of the clamping piece according to the invention is that any on the
Tensile forces acting on the cable do not have an effect on the terminal p of the battery, but are absorbed by the second leg.
The pole p is also against in the event of lateral tensile forces on the cable
