Draw amides from neutral or even weakly acidic baths onto the fibers. The fabric is therefore largely spared during dyeing. The dyeings produced in this way are particularly notable for the fact that both types of fiber are uniformly colored with good fastness properties.
This valuable property of the dyeings is surprising, since when dyeing blended fabrics made of wool and cotton according to the present process, the animal and vegetable fibers are dyed very unevenly, although the dyeing of wool and half wool is already done by priming with couplable oxy and polyoxy compounds and developing with diazo compounds of aromatic amines.

The bathroom is almost completely exhausted.
After a short rinse, the tissue is placed in a neutral solution of the diazonium salt of 4-ethoxy-4'-aminodiphenylamine and left therein for 1/2 hour at a temperature between 20 and 500 C. A muted navy blue coloration with excellent fastness properties is obtained.
