Das in den Fig. 1-3 der Zeichnung im Längsschnitt, in der Stirnansicht und in der Draufsicht dargestellte Bett besteht aus einem Rahmen 1, welcher mit einem elastischen Überzug bpzw. einer solchen FÜllung 2 aus geeignetem Materiale (Drahtnetz) versehen ist.
Der Fuss- und Kopfteil 3 bezw. 4 dieses Bettes müssen derart angeordnet sein, dass sie bei Umwandlung desselben in eine Ottomane zur Gänze beseitigt werden können. Zu diesem Behufe besteht sowohl der Kopf-als auch der Fussteil aus zwei Teilen 5, 6, welche miteinander durch ein Scharnier 7 und gemeinsam durch ein Scharnier 8 mit Führungsstücken14 drehbar verbunden sind, welch letztere in unterhalb der Füllung 2 am Rahmen 1

geführt sind. Derart können Kopf- urd Fussteil nicht nur durch Umklappen des Teiles 5 niedriger gemacht werden, sondern auch nach vollständigem Umklappen gänzlich in die Führungen 15 eingeschoben werden (Fig. 1 rechts), so dass sie überhaupt nicht mehr im Wege stehen.
Die Verbindung der beiden Teile 5, 6 erfolgt hiebei durch Klemmriegel 16, welche an dem einen Teile drehbar angeordnet sind und den anderen Teil umfassen. Die Feststellung von Kopf-und Fussteil in der Gebrauchsstellung erfolgt durch an denselben angeordnete Riegel 17, welche in Öffnungen 18 des Rahmens. 1 eintreten, oder durch am Rahmen 1 angeordnete Federn, welche beim Aufstellen von Kopf-und Fussteil in denselben einspringen.
