Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung von temperaturbeständigen Kunstmassen.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Process for the production of temperature-resistant plastics
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Mixing alcohol to produce a varnish that is ideal for the production of artificial leather. If necessary, it is also possible to carry out only the last few spreads in the usual synthetic leather production using this lacquer. This gives a very stretchable, stable and non-adhesive coating. A film can also be produced from the same solution and used as a translucent body.
Example 2: A copolymer is produced from 85 parts by weight of ethyl acrylate and 15 parts of butyl acrylate, and otherwise, as in the previous example, cellulose tripropionate is added and processing is carried out.
Example 3: A copolymer of 80 parts by weight of ethyl acrylate and 20 parts by weight of vinyl acetate is processed according to the preceding examples,
Example 4: 85 parts of a 20% strength solution of polyethyl acrylate and 15 parts of a 20% strength cellulose tripropionate solution in a mixture of benzene-alcohol-acetone are mixed and a 0-5 mm thick film is produced from this solution by evaporation of the solvent. This film is then placed between two glass plates using dibutyl phthalate and the whole thing is pressed in the heat. The safety glass produced in this way is characterized by good dielectric strength at normal and low temperatures.
Example 5: 80 parts of ethyl acrylate and 20 parts of methyl acrylate are polymerized for 40 hours with the addition of 50 parts of ethyl acetate using 0-006 parts of benzoyl peroxide. Then, with further addition of about 300 parts of ethyl acetate, a solution is prepared and a solution of cellulose tripropionate is added to this solution, so that there are 15 parts of cellulose tripropionate per 85 parts of the polymer. A 0.5 mm thick film is then produced from this solution in the usual way and this is pressed between two glass plates using dibutyl phthalate. The two glass plates are given a very thin coating of polymethyl acrylate beforehand.
Example 6: 80 parts of ethyl acrylate and 20 parts of vinyl acetate are processed as in Example 5.
Example 7: 70 parts of ethyl acrylate and 30 parts of butyl acrylate are processed as in Example 5.
Example 8: 15 parts of cellulose tripropionate are dissolved in 82 parts of ethyl acrylate and 3 parts of acrylic acid and this solution is polymerized between 2 glasses with the addition of a little benzoyl peroxide so that a bubble-free film about 0.5-1.0 mm thick between the glasses forms.
