Verfahren zur Herstellung von Aluminiumgriess.
Aluminiumgriess wurde bisher durch Zerstäuben von geschmolzenem Aluminium hergestellt.
Die auf diese Weise erhaltenen Körner weisen eine glatte Oberfläche auf, die vielfach unerwünscht ist.
Anderseits ist es auch bereits bekannt, kleinstückiges Material auf Kugelmühlen zu runden und hiebei kugelartige Gebilde zu erzeugen. Hiezu ist es erforderlich, das Metall vorerst in eine blättehenförmige Beschaffenheit durch einen besonderen Arbeitsgang vor der Einführung in die Kugelmühle überzuführen.
Das Verfahren nach der Erfindung wird derart durchgeführt, dass das Aluminium in Form von Folien den Schlaghämmern einer Schlagmühle auf einer Rutsche zugeführt und durch die rotierenden Hämmer der Schlagmühle zerrissen wird, worauf die so erhaltenen Aluminiumflocken durch die rotierenden Hämmer zu Körnern geformt werden.
Auf der Zeichnung ist eine zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens geeignete Vorrichtung im Querschnitt beispielsweise dargestellt.
Die Aluminiumfolien werden auf der Rutsche 1 den Schlaghämmern 2 der Schlagmühle zugeführt. Die Schlaghämmer 2 drehen sieh im Pfeilsinne und zerreissen hiebei die Aluminiumfolien zu Aluminiumflocken, die durch die rotierenden Hämmer längs der Wand 3 der Schlagmühle zu Körnern geformt werden. Die Wand 3 geht in ein Sieb 4 über, durch welches die Aluminiumkörner durchfallen, sobald sie die gewünschte Grösse erreicht haben. In den Kasten 5 mündet eine Absaugvorrichtung, die den fertigen Aluminiumgriess weiterbefördert.

Up to now, aluminum grit has been produced by atomizing molten aluminum.
The grains obtained in this way have a smooth surface, which is often undesirable.
On the other hand, it is already known to round small pieces of material on ball mills and to produce ball-like structures. To do this, it is necessary to first convert the metal into a sheet-like texture by means of a special operation before it is introduced into the ball mill.
The method according to the invention is carried out in such a way that the aluminum in the form of foils is fed to the hammer of a hammer mill on a slide and is torn by the rotating hammers of the hammer mill, whereupon the aluminum flakes thus obtained are shaped into grains by the rotating hammers.
In the drawing, a device suitable for carrying out this method is shown in cross section, for example.
The aluminum foils are fed to the hammer 2 of the hammer mill on the chute 1. The hammers 2 rotate in the direction of the arrow and tear the aluminum foils into aluminum flakes, which are shaped into grains by the rotating hammers along the wall 3 of the hammer mill. The wall 3 merges into a sieve 4 through which the aluminum grains fall as soon as they have reached the desired size. A suction device, which conveys the finished aluminum grit, opens into the box 5.
