Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine mit einem zumindest eine Verdampfungseinrichtung (5) und eine Expansionseinrichtung (8) aufweisenden Abwärmerückgewinnungssystem (3) zum Rückgewinnen von Energie aus Abwärme aus dem Abgassystem (1), wobei im Abgassystem (1) zumindest eine vorzugsweise als SCR-Katalysator oder Oxidationskatalysator ausgebildete Abgasnachbehandlungseinrichtung (2) angeordnet ist, wobei im Bereich der Abgasnachbehandlungseinrichtung (2) zumindest eine Verdampfungseinrichtung (5) angeordnet ist, wobei auch die Expansionseinrichtung (8) im Bereich der Abgasnachbehandlungseinrichtung (2) angeordnet ist. Um den Wirkungsgrad des Abwärmerückgewinnungssystems (3) zu verbessern, ist vorgesehen, dass die Expansionseinrichtung (8) im Abgasstrom des Abgassystems (1), vorzugsweise in einer Abgasleitung (13) des Abgassystems (1), angeordnet ist und vom Abgas zumindest teilweise umströmt wird.
