Pneumatic drive for electrical switches.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Serving compressed air, which in this case causes the drive piston 2 to move upward, is supplied to the cylinder 1 from a compressed air source or Druekluftversorgungsanlage in the direction of arrow 5, with a control element and also a diaphragm 6 is arranged by way of the switch-on supply, for example from an adjustable Spring 7 receiving elastic housing or cushion is made. The use of a membrane is advantageous over the usual regulating organs in that when switching z. B. on short circuit the membrane is printed and a large cross section for the exit of the still existing switch-on air from the drive cylinder 1 is released.
The air used for switching off passes in the direction of arrow 8 through the compressed air line 9, which can also serve to supply the blown air to the switching room receiving the contacts, via a controllable check valve 22 or a throttle to the space of the drive cylinder 1 facing the switching room One or more compressed air reservoirs 14 are connected to the drive cylinder 1. The arrangement of the accumulator 14 can either be selected so that the drive piston 2 in the switched-on position lies above the opening 18 of the compressed air accumulator or so that it covers this opening. The capacity of the compressed air reservoir 14 is, for. B. a multiple of the drive cylinder space, which is above the mouth 18 of the compressed air reservoir.
When switching on, the membrane 6 is compressed by the air flowing in the direction of arrow 5 after the opening of the main retaining element (not shown), so that the air enters the drive cylinder 1 and moves the drive piston towards the contact point.
When switching off, the drive piston is moved quickly after the opening of the main switch-off device, which is not specified, whereby the contacts are separated from one another correspondingly quickly until the drive piston reaches or leaves the opening 13. A substantial part of the air intended for the switch-off process is now drawn off by means of the accumulator 14 and the pressure on the drive piston 2 and thus the switching speed are thereby reduced. The time interval in which the compressed air is drawn off is used for intensive blowing of the switching contacts. At the same time as the reduction in speed caused by the drive piston itself, damping of the moving masses is initiated. Due to the further

Space with compressed air, which in turn accelerates the piston.
If, for example, the pressure in the line 9 has now dropped, the movement of the piston 2 can still be continued due to the sparged air. The compressed air can escape from the space of the drive cylinder facing away from the stopping point by opening the membrane through the brake pressure and keeping it at a constant flow width.

be connected to the air line that supplies the switch-on air to the drive cylinder 1. The connecting line, which can accommodate a throttle or an adjustable check valve, is indicated in the drawing Fig. 1 by dashed lines.
In the embodiment of the compressed air drive according to FIG. 2, a double piston 2; ' intended. The two pistons '3 and 2' are moved together by being rigidly connected to one another. A lever 16 engages the connecting part 2a of the two pistons 2, 2 ′, which is rotatable about the pin 17 and carries a switching pin 1,3 on its opposite end part. In the wall of the drive cylinder 1, at least one opening 19 is provided, which is used to discharge the switch-on air in the last phase of the switch-on movement.
The arrangement is such that when the switching pin 3 is switched on, it is first brought into connection with the stationary counter-contact, whereupon the opening 19 is only released. This can e.g. B. can be achieved by appropriate dimensioning of the switching pin in the longitudinal direction. If counter-air damping is used, it is advantageous if the switch-on cylinder 1 'has a smaller diameter than the switch-off cylinder 1, so that under no circumstances can a greater pressure occur on the switch-on side than on the switch-off side. The rest of the arrangement of the components corresponds to that according to FIG. 1. The memory 14 is also connected to the upper part of the drive cylinder 1.
The switch-on air is fed to the drive cylinder 1 in the direction of arrow 5. A control valve is provided in the line serving to supply the intake air, and a check valve 11 and a control throttle 12 are provided in line 9. The blown air is fed to the control room through a special line 20.
