Staubsauger mit Einrichtung zum Schalldämpfen.
EMI1.1

Vacuum cleaner with soundproofing device.
EMI1.1
The inner casing accommodating the motor blower unit and the jacket-shaped sieve placed in front of the air outlet opening of the outer casing. Both of the measures just mentioned are known for each other and are intended to reduce the noise that occurs when the vacuum cleaner is working: the sieve, thanks to its well-known soundproofing properties, the inner housing, because it intercepts the air emerging from the fan, i.e. prevents it from hitting the outer housing and to set it in sound vibrations, whereby the vibrations of the inner housing cannot be transferred to the latter because of its flexible mounting in the outer housing.
According to the invention, the sound-damping effect is to be improved even further.
This is done initially in that a cap open to the rear wall of the outer housing is placed on the sieve, which cap encloses the sieve at a distance both from this and from the outer housing. The improved sound attenuation arises from the fact that the cap causes a diversion of the air with a corresponding change in the air flow cross section.
Another improvement on the
Sound effect results if a cap open at the edge is arranged at the air outlet end of the inner housing, at a distance both from this and from the outer housing
Diverts air exiting the inner housing and flowing towards the sieve or its cap, d. i. on her
Inner circumference initially leads backwards and on its outer circumference forwards again, thereby bringing about a change in cross-section of the air flow, combined with alternating throttling and relaxation of the air.
If, furthermore, the inner housing, which is flexibly supported directly against the outer housing at its air inlet end in a known manner, is supported at its air outlet end by means of a rubber washer or the like against the cap surrounding this end, which in turn rests on the sieve and thus on the outer housing The further advantage is that not only does a special support of the named cap are spared, but it is also protected from the vibrations of the inner housing being transmitted to the cap in a sound-generating manner.
The drawing illustrates two embodiments of the sound attenuation arrangement. Fig. 1 shows one of them in a vertical longitudinal section through the entire vacuum cleaner housing, Fig. 2 shows the other embodiment on an enlarged scale and partial longitudinal section.
In Fig. 1 with a is arranged at the air outlet end of the vacuum cleaner housing, jacket-shaped sieve pushed directly onto the inwardly projecting air outlet nozzle b.
It is enclosed by a sheet metal jacket e, which widens conically towards the end of the vacuum cleaner housing and is open there and is fastened to the rear end cap e of the vacuum cleaner housing by means of several stud bolts d. The air flowing into this cap at its open end can pass between the stud bolts d and into the interior of the cap in order to further flow towards the sieve casing a and blow it out through this and the nozzle b. The cone shell c also serves as an abutment for the elastic support of the motor fan unit by means of two rubber washers /, g, with the said unit being elastically supported at the other end by means of a rubber ring h against an attachment ring i of the vacuum cleaner body.
A sheet metal jacket surrounding the fan and motor is denoted by k, to which the air freed from dust in the dust bag n flows in at m and from which it exits again through a central opening o, namely into the interior

EMI2.1
Instead of the rubber washer g, f, for the sake of simplification, only a rubber washer g is arranged, which protrudes through the caps p and c into the interior of the screen jacket a and thereby centers the motor fan unit, furthermore by the fact that the jackets k and p inside at their air outlet end for increased sound absorption covered with rings q, r made of felt or a similar sound-absorbing material and ultimately,
that both the outer housing body s and the outer housing end cap e made of sound- and current-insulating material, such as. B. synthetic resin are made.
