PATENT-A. SPRÜCHE :

and 11, which have cuts 12 and 11 in their leading edges. These incisions serve to accommodate the downwardly protruding guide pins 14 of the keys, as can best be seen from FIGS. The keys are guided in this way while playing and secured against tipping over. On the front rail 9 there are adjusting screws J'5 under the individual keys, which serve as Ansoldäged in order to limit the movement of the keys when they are struck. The stop height can of course be regulated by adjusting the screws.
In the vicinity of the axis of rotation of the keys, a rod 16 lying transversely over the same is arranged (FIG. 1), which holds the keys in the correct position but does not hinder the swinging of the keys. In order to remove the keys, the rod 16 is removed, whereupon each key can be pulled out by lifting its front end to the extent that the support pin is released.
As usual, the lower parts of the mechanics are located at the rear ends of the keys. The slots 6, 12 and 13 are lined with felt and felt pads are also arranged under the front ends of the keys, which are placed on the heads of the screws 15.
PATENT-A. CLAIMS :
1. A key for pianinos and similar musical instruments, characterized by a shallow incision in the underside of the same, which serves to receive a short pin (2) which supports the key when it vibrates.
