Image with depth effect.
The invention relates to an image with depth effect and consists in that the image consists of a glass plate and a reflective surface arranged at a distance from it, facing and parallel to it, the side of the glass plate facing the reflective surface bearing the images. This ensures that to the side and behind all those pictorial representations on the glass plate that are not exactly in the normal going through the eye of the beholder to the reflective surface, a mirror image showing the same color as the pictorial representation, but less light, is visible, Which, with a suitable choice of the distance between the glass plate and the reflective surface, creates the impression of a shadow and thus the physicality of the pictorial representation.
This impression is increased when the observer's point of view is shifted (e.g. when walking past the picture) by the fact that when the point of view is removed from the edge of the pictorial representation, the mirror image increases in width, which gives the impression of being as a result of the A change in the point of view would come more from the shadow side of the depicted object into the field of vision and vice versa.
The visual representation on the back of the glass plate can be done in Indian ink or colors or consist of colored tinfoil on top.
