Description

    LeuehtschiM.

    LeuehtschiM.

There are already illuminated signs in their plane are known, which consist of individual interchangeable strung together, translucent and as a result of scattering or reflection of the light against the viewer illuminating text or picture elements. With these known illuminated signs, a separate light source must be provided for each line of text. If one were to arrange several lines of the advertising text illuminated by a common lamp in the same plane, the result would be that the writing elements closer to the light source shield the light from the more distant ones, as is the case with the known diaphanous elements consisting of a single larger glass plate Illuminated signs is the case.

The subject matter of the invention is an illuminated sign of the above-mentioned type, which also allows multi-line signs with transillumination by a single common light source to be assembled. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the writing or picture elements are arranged in two or more lines lying one above the other and in different image planes offset from one another, to which a common light source is assigned.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. u. Between. Fig. 1 shows a
Front view and FIG. 2 a cross section of a Leuehtschild.

The stand 1 also serves as a housing for a StaMampe. At the top, the housing is slotted and at this point four glass plates 3, which are slightly inclined to the rear, are inserted in such a way that the light can enter them in the direction of their plane. The glass plates 3 are stepped against each other. so that the rotten 3 'barely protrudes over the housing, while the others are each held longer by a certain amount. On the steps formed in this way, small glass plates can be placed, which lean against the inclined rear wall formed by the next plate. The design of these small glass plates can be different. The platelets 5 are, for example, as known per se.

Letters or the like z. B. worked out by engraving, etching or edge radiation, so that a light-reflecting or diffusing effect is created. On the other hand, the plates 6 themselves are in the form of letters, with individual or all surrounding surfaces being designed to reflect or scatter light. Finally you can. As with the platelets 7. the letters or the like can also be raised in relief and have scattering or reflective walls.

In front of the viewer, the letters light up against the dark background and, due to the reflection, which has a different effect on the edges, make a nice, three-dimensional impression. The advertising text is easy to read, even during the day, because part of the daily rent also enters through the edges of the glass plates, making the letters appear in a brighter light. Also the back wall 3 ".

support of the overall picture, e.g. B. by generating luminous edge lines 8 u. Like. Be used.

It should be noted that in the illuminated sign according to the invention, all individual writing elements. from which the display is composed, are directly illuminated by the light source, so that although there is only one common light source for several lines. results in a much better lighting effect than with the known signs mentioned in the introduction, in which the writing elements closer to the light source shield the light from the more distant ones.
