Device for the direct connection of dental technical aids to the shaft end of
Electric motors.
The invention relates to a device for the direct connection of dental technical auxiliaries to the shaft end of electric motors.
Up to now, the electric motors customary in the dental workshop were equipped in such a way that threaded cones were fixedly arranged on the shaft end of these electric motors. The dental technical aids were attached directly to these thread cones. With more delicate devices, for example felt cones, damage to the thread cone was usually unavoidable, whether by screwing them on or during operation, and further use of the auxiliary device in question was therefore ruled out, although the same except for the injured bearing point itself would have been useful. Apart from that, the frequent replacement by unscrewing and unscrewing required a significant amount of time.
The invention eliminates these inconveniences in that the stub shaft of the electric motor is permanently connected to a coupling device acting in the manner of a drill chuck. This assumes that all dental technical auxiliary devices are equipped with carriers that are identical to one another and fit into this chuck.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in several training variants, u. Between FIGS. 1 and 2 are longitudinal sections.
The sleeve attached to the shaft end 15 is denoted by 1, its transverse bore by 2, the leaf spring by 3 and the crosspiece of the same by 4. The latter is designed in the design according to FIG. 1 as a kink of the spring itself and in the design according to FIG. 2 as a transverse pin firmly connected to the spring. In both embodiments, the adjusting ring 5 is intended for an inwardly directed radial displacement of the crosspiece 4 so that it engages with the annular groove 6 in the pin of the carrier 7 in the coupling position. In order to release this engagement, all that is required is a displacement of the adjusting ring in the direction of arrow 14 so that the spring 3 is able to move outward when the carrier 7 is pulled out of the sleeve 1.
The position assumed by the spring in this state can advantageously be selected as its normal position with respect to the suspension.
While in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 the adjusting ring 5 has to be moved completely out of the area of the pin 4 for the purpose of releasing the connection, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 only a very short shift of the adjusting ring 5 is required because for the coupling End of the spring 3 provided nose 13 a recess 12 is provided in the collar 5. A fork 8 and a pin 9 (FIG. 1) or at least one pin 10 and at least one associated recess 11 can be provided on the end faces of the parts to be connected to absorb the torques.
The device according to the invention can be dismantled into its individual parts in a few simple steps, each of which is easy to clean, which is of great importance in particular for dental equipment, both in terms of operational safety and in terms of hygiene.
