Siphon flushing device for toilets with a flushing valve on the falling siphon leg and with a device for enabling large and small flushing.
In the device according to the invention, the air inlet valve on the siphon apex known from such flushing devices is controlled so that it closes automatically when the water level in the container falls below a certain level. This ensures that when the valve on the falling siphon handle is opened, water initially only flows off as long as this valve is kept open (small flushing to a variable extent). If you keep the valve open so long that the air inlet valve is closed as a result of the falling water in the container, then, since air can no longer enter the siphon, the suction effect is initiated by the water flowing into the siphon drain and thus a complete one Emptying of the container (large flush) achieved.
The device according to the invention can also be attached to existing flushing devices, making it particularly easy to use because the same traction means, u. between only different lengths, is operated, in contrast to a known device according to the American Patent No. 614648, in which the air inlet valve on the falling lever leg is closed when the lift height of the drain valve exceeds a certain amount. However, maintaining a certain lifting height by pulling more or less forcefully is very difficult and requires long practice, while the operation of the device according to the invention is extremely simple and can be carried out without any particular skill.
The subject of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing. 1 and 2 show a longitudinal section and a plan view of the embodiment.
In the container 1, the siphon 3, 4 and the flushing valve 2 are arranged in the usual manner on the falling siphon handle, which opens into the drainage pipe 5 below the valve. in the

Valve 2 stored.
In the case of small flushes, the air inlet valve must be open when valve 2 is lifted, and it must only close after a certain time, within which valve 2 can be replaced without the entire contents of the container being sucked in again. The stroke of the air inlet valve therefore depends on the water level. A lever 12 is also mounted on the bolt 9, the end of which rests on the lever 13 carrying the float 14 of the inflow valve and thereby assumes a higher or lower position according to the respective water level. The lever 12 is passed under the end of the lever 10. That end rests on him. When the container is full, i.e. H. at the highest water level, the lever 12 also has its highest position and holds the closing body 8 lifted.
If the valve 2 is opened by actuating the lever 11 and water is drained, the water level in the container drops and thus the levers 12 and 10 also drop. If the valve 2 is now closed before the closing body 8 of the air inlet valve has been placed on its seat, flushing is interrupted and there is no flow
Water more. If you keep the flushing valve open until the air inlet valve closes, the suction effect of the siphon begins and the container is completely emptied. The largest still without
The amount of water that can be drained off by suction depends on the stroke of the air inlet valve and can be adjusted by means of a screw 15.
In order to avoid corners of the lever 12 when there is play with respect to the bolt 9 and to enable reliable operation of the device, the bearing of the lever and that on the float lever are
