Compressors for refrigerating machines.
In compressors for refrigeration machines that suck in the working fluid through the crankcase, it has proven to be disadvantageous that oil, which is located in the crankcase for lubricating the moving parts of the compressor, is entrained by the working fluid. It has already been proposed to arrange oil separators at suitable points in order to remove the 01 which is entrained from the working medium.
The invention is based on the knowledge that it is more advantageous to prevent oil from being carried along as far as possible, since the oil separator then only has to separate out the small amounts of oil that has been carried along, which can never be avoided.
In order to avoid the entrainment of oil as far as possible, according to the invention the inlet line for the working medium is placed in the compressor so that its opening is as far as possible above the oil level in the crankcase.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
The piston 1 in the cylinder 2 is supported by the piston rod 3 on the crank pin 4.
In the crankcase 5 is the oil for lubricating the moving parts. By means of a screw 6 on the crank pin, the lubricating oil is conveyed through the channel 7 into the interior of the piston, from where it passes along the inner wall into the felt ring 8. The working medium is sucked in through the nozzle 13. From this a line 10 leads into the interior of the compressor, u. between up to the piston. By rotating the crank and crank cap in the direction of the arrow drawn, the oil level in the crankcase is inclined, as shown by the dash-dotted line. If the line 10 were not present, the working medium drawn in would pass through the lubricating oil and carry it along with it. This disadvantage is avoided by the arrangement of the line 10.
To regulate the lubricating oil conveyed through the hollow piston rod, a wick 11 of suitable thickness can be inserted into it.
An oil separator 12, which has to separate the small amounts of oil that is entrained from the working medium, is expediently used at the outlet of the compressor in the line of the working medium. The oil deposited in this is returned to the compressor via a valve through the nozzle 9.
The coolant freed from the lubricant leaves the oil separator 12 through the line 14 and passes in a known manner from here through a condenser into a control device and from there to the evaporator. From the evaporator, the working fluid is sucked in through the nozzle 13 and the line 10, u. zw. As described above, in such a way that it does not come into contact with the lubricant.
